Queen B was spotted filming the clip are a New Jersey trailer park earlier this week wearing a fur jacket, so it’s gonna be all kinds of awesome. Also spotted on set was B’s hipster-leaning baby sis, Solange, and her former Destiny’s Child pal Kelly Rowland. So were both ladies there just showing some support for B, or was there something more to it? Knowing that there’s going to be a mini-DC reunion in the video only ups its awesome ante.
“I’m just doing a cameo. We just had a really good time,” Rowland told NeonLimelight.com about her role in the video, in which she wears a sparkly purple getup. Beyoncé directed the video, and Kelly said that while filming the video “we noticed that we were doing certain stuff that we used to do as kids. We kinda felt a little goofy for a second, so we stopped. But we just had a good time.”
Kelly also spoke to Idolator about the video, summing it up in a way that makes us hungry for an invite to this party. “Just the way she directed this video, it was nothing short of genius,” Rowland gushed. “I’m just so proud of her, ’cause now she’s directing videos!”
