Regé-Jean Page and Halle Bailey have been given more than a few reasons to toast to the premiere success of their new film ‘You, Me, & Tuscany.‘
The romantic comedy, which stormed movie theaters on Friday (April 10), not only got rave reviews from the critics but was also greeted with quite the handsome opening at the box office.
Debuting as the week’s highest-performing new movie, ‘Tuscany’ opened to $8 million generated from 3,151 Stateside theaters.
Among all films, the sum placed the Kat Coiro-directed venture in fourth place in the weekend’s box office race behind the previously released ‘Super Mario Galaxy Movie’ ($68M), ‘Project Hail Mary’ ($24M), and ‘The Drama’ (8.7M).
Set against an $18 million budget, ‘Tuscany’ not only premiered to a promising start in America but also garnered an additional $1.1 million at the international box office bringing its total global opening to $9.1 million.
As if those wins weren’t enough to celebrate, the movie was also a hit with critics – earning an “A-” grade on CinemaScore exit polls.

I saw it and it was great
Good! So happy for both of them, and for this movie! I’m sick of seeing us with others. Lord please let this be the beginning of the end of all these devilish white man black woman movies. We need to see more black love, and way less to no swirl at all. I’m going this weekend too support.
