According to TMZ, Haddish appeared virtually in court on August 11 and pleaded guilty to DUI driving less safe as part of a plea deal.
The 46-year-old was sentenced to 12 months of probation and ordered to complete 40 hours of community service and a DUI course.
She must also abstain from drugs and alcohol, with the exception of prescribed medication, and submit to testing. Her driving privileges in Georgia have also been suspended.
The resolution comes after a lengthy legal battle stemming from Haddish’s January 2022 arrest, when authorities said she had allegedly fallen asleep behind the wheel.
Earlier this year, her legal team pushed to have the case dismissed, arguing that repeated delays had taken a toll on her personal and professional life. After she scored a minor courtroom victory, prosecutors subsequently fought back against the dismissal bid.
Ultimately, the judge did not throw out the case, and Haddish has now opted to resolve it with a guilty plea rather than proceed to trial.
