Officially announced on August 24, the documentary is being spearheaded by Suzanne Bass, Williams’ former friend and longtime executive producer of ‘The Wendy Williams Show.’
Journalist Loren LoRosa shared the claims on X, citing a source close to the 62-year-old.
“Wendy was BLINDSIDED. Wendy did not ok this doc. Wendy does not talk to Suzanne at all. Wendy was never involved in the doc.”

The source went on to allege that Bass had “moved very sketchy” and questioned whether Williams would financially benefit from the project. When asked directly about compensation, the source said they did not know, but branded the situation “disgusting.”
They continued:
“They allegedly be using her just for new stories and clicks. Pure evil. And Suzanne had the audacity to be out in the streets smiling all in her face. I knew she couldn’t be trusted.”
The development arrives at an especially sensitive time for Williams, who has spent recent years fighting for greater control over her life amid her highly publicized guardianship battle.
‘Clap If You Care‘ is set to premiere on Peacock in 2027. Williams has yet to publicly address the documentary herself.

She talked about people her entire career without their approval
Whilst we all watched and ate it up. Let’s not throw rocks and hide our hands.
I never supported nor liked her she didn’t do anything but tear her own community down i been calling her out way before she got sick
Wendy is now a casualty of the brand she crafted a career around.
