Of course, in what really goes without saying, kudos to Adele for the bone chillingly fantastic year she has had with both ‘19′ and ‘21′.
We also extend our congratulations to Rihanna for exceeding expectations with the worldwide sales of ‘Loud‘, but would be wrong to deny that we are not surprised that it sits only 5 spots above Beyonce‘s ‘4′, despite the fact that it had the benefit of being released almost one year before the R&B driven project.
As well as this, a special shout out to Nicki Minaj and Jessie J who raked in even more impressive sales with their respective debut albums and Lady GaGa‘s ‘Born This Way’ with over 5 million copies sold since its release in May.

Adele just murdered EVERYBODY. Her album wasn’t my favorite of the year, but it was brilliant & she got them receipts to prove it. Even her freshman album killed this year -___- & before Rihanna & Beyonce stans get all over this: both ladies did well this year. Rihanna sold more but her album has been out since 2010 so her record sales are counted from the very beginning of this year whereas Beyonce’s has been out about half the year. Therefore neither of them need to be attacked. DON’T DO IT.
Congrats to all three women, Talk Talk Talk will sell a little more considering it is still early. Beyonce’s 4 was a nice album with substance, although it wasn’t a commercial success, it’s one of her best. Adele is killing everybody right now. That is crazy.

Lady Gaga has had an interesting year to say the least. It was filled with many pro’s and con’s. She seem to be the one artist that started her promo earliest, given the most hype (media – in all forms), benefits (discounted prices) and came out of all this with a solid era , but with all this assistance (dating back to hype from last new years eve) a bit below what was expected. Still, she got the job done. Congrats! Now those inflated sales of 8 million ww can finally be put to rest.

Wow, wow, wow … Adele’s numbers are out of this world. I can’t remember the last time I saw sales reach the roof like this. I thought it wouldn’t happen ever again after the last decade. Congrats are certainly in order here.
Lady Gaga has had an interesting year to say the least. It was filled with many pro’s and con’s. She seem to be the one artist that started her promo earliest, given the most hype (media – in all forms), benefits (discounted prices) and came out of all this with a solid era , but with all this assistance (dating back to hype from last new years eve) a bit below what was expected. Still, she got the job done. Congrats! Now those inflated sales of 8 million ww can finally be put to rest.
Rihanna – Great era! She has 2 now that can be respected when it comes to sales. Now her stans can stop referring back to 2007′s GGGB. Congrats!
Beyonce – I’m so happy to see such a quality album performing better than what was expected from it. This is so impressive for so many reasons.
– Beyonce suffered from a 3 week + leak
– Beyonce didn’t get mainstream radio support
– Beyonce’s album was labelled a flop before it even got off the ground (despite debuting at #1 and remaining in the top 10 for months).
– Beyonce 4 album didn’t follow any trends
(there wasn’t one euro dance track on it).
– Beyonce was a target each time she released a video (in an industry filled with artist stealing concepts that were repeat offenders).
If she danced with guys in the back ground, she stole from New Edition.
If she used a sample, she was stealing from producers (Major Lazers).
If she artistically honored a famous piece FRAME BY FRAME FOR 30 secounds, it was stealing (Countdown).
…When the rest of the world does it, it’s INSPIRATION(the list goes on forever with those that are abusers).
– Last but not least, Beyonce is now pregnant (and had to strategically plan out an era in order for it to flow the best way it possibly could).
