Don Lemon Criticises Ellen DeGeneres For “Forgiving” Kevin Hart On Behalf Of Black LGBT Community

Published: Saturday 5th Jan 2019 by David

Don Lemon doesn’t feel Ellen DeGeneres was wrong for urging the general public to forgive Kevin Hart for his homophobic remarks because she, as far as he sees it, wasn’t the offended party.

Many of Hart’s tweets were directed at gay men of colour which left many feeling that Ellen found it easy to forgive and forget because she isn’t/wasn’t on the receiving end of his supposed vitriol.

Watch Don, and others, break it down below…

He wasn’t alone.

Hart is said to be no longer interested in hosting the Oscars and is yet to be replaced.

Do you agree with Don?

Don needs to let this go. If presidents can evolve, so can comedians.

Off topic of this post. I’m more curious of what president you think has evolved?

      • Casual January 5, 2019

Most famously President Obama. He opposed gay marriage in 2008 and evolve to support it just in time for the 2012 election.

I’m bout ready to not only move from America but the whole damn planet too everyone is too damn sensitive, judges, and full of s***.

I’m baffled…like, are we supposed to punish Kevin Hart for the rest of his life because of comments he made 10(well 11 now) years ago?! ..even after he’s given multiple apologies. I don’t find Kevin Hart funny, I’m not a fan at all, I am, however, a realist and folk need to let this issue go! People need to understand that not everyone will agree with your values, not everyone lives their life according to how you live yours and THAT’S OK!! Don and the rest are BUGGIN out. Lol

That’s the thing, he didn’t apologize. He said he wouldn’t make those jokes again, that is not an apology. He didn’t even apologize when on Ellen – the biggest softball ever! He wants to walk away, not benefit his community.

So confident to take d*ck as a man but so sensitive over people’s opinions wow….

The most sensitive community the LGBTQRSTUV is.

KUDOS to Don for finally stepping on ground level with other gay black men! I absolutely appreciate & support his stance.

the same community that dont wanna be judged for their lifestyle are always judging others because their ideology differs from theirs. IRONIC!

      Have several seats sweetie.

Kevin Hart did the judging first and the refused to properly address the issue when it resurfaced this year. If he’s so evolved he should’ve just said so.

being GAY is NOT a lifestyle! I get so sick and tired of seeing you idiots label being gay as a “lifestyle”. Gay men do not all dress alike, eat the same foods, listen to the same music, pursue the same professions, engage in the same exercise/health regime, practice the same religion or anything else that makes heterosexuals ALL DIFFERENT in their varying “lifestyles”.

The problem most people are having is that he keeps saying he has apologized but he hasn’t. Reporters have looked and researched and they can’t find an apology from him other than the one he made when he stepped down from hosting the Oscars. He has addressed it but never apologized.

It’s ridiculous to act like 2011 is now when Kevin hasn’t repeated the offensive words since that time. It’s out of line to watch a person become who they are today and then accuse them of being the same person they used to be with absolutely nothing to base it on. People I went to school with purposely did things to make my life hard going through high school, and they act totally different toward me today. I never told them how it affected me and I have no intention to hold it against them. They’re not the same people they used to be, so I’m not gonna act like the past is the present. That’s what people are doing to Kevin Hart and it is complete nonsense. Your frustration is misplaced and it shouldn’t be directed at Kevin.

Don hit it right on the head again. If I hear Kevin Hart speak about himself in the 3rd person one more time…

Plays the victim when he is the one victimizing others, that is what a child does.

Kudos to you Don, i’d love to have Kevin on your show and have an intelligent conversation.
