Sporting new hair and promising exciting new music the singer August Alsina made his way to ‘The Breakfast Club’ hours ago to promote his forthcoming album ‘This Thing Called Life.’

Unfortunately, the star’s conversation with the show’s host saw him forced to address the personal drama that threatens to overshadow his musical endeavours after a relative came forward to accuse him of being responsible for his brother’s death.

Eager to rise above the negativity and keen to inspire the entertainer used the interview to share his moving story and offer hope to any who had been pulled through something similar.

Justin Bieber continues to generate excitement around his forthcoming album ‘Purpose’ by taking to the pages of Billboard magazine for a spot of promotion.

Only right that that he rocks it cover first with a shot that sees him sport his brand new physique, tattoos while touting his “rebirth” as an artist.

Fans of the once troubled star will know that the last two years have seen struggle to maintain the All-American image he’d presented to the world after footage of him performing a racist number about African-Americans surfaced online.

Rising star Pia Mia makes a bold bid for the big time with new single ‘Touch.’

The 19-year-old Interscope signee made a splash earlier this year with the Chris Brown and Tyga assisted ‘Do It Again’ and aims to build on that buzz with its follow-up.

Rita Ora is currently wracking up praise aplenty for her role as a judge on The X Factor, but she’s still keen to showcase her own musical gravitas.

The 24-year-old took to the stage at last night’s MOBO Awards in Leeds, where she rocked the crowd with a medley of recent single ‘Body On Me’ and UK top 10 ‘Poison.’

She was also joined by Brit-bred rappers Section Boyz, joining them for a spirited rendition of ‘Trapping Ain’t Easy.’

Taylor Swift may have swiftly ridden to the top of the Billboard Hot 100 singing about their bad blood, but it appears nemesis Katy Perry will have the last laugh (all the way to bank) as she rides to the top of another tally:  Forbes ‘Highest Paid Female Musicians’ list.

Indeed, as her faithful #Katycats know, the songstress has had a hell of a year from a Super Bowl halftime show headlining kick off to a top-drawing world tour to end, Perry has seemingly been raking in the dough at every turn. But, as the list evidences, she is not alone.

Adele has been the name on everyone’s lips for the last two weeks.

The diva’s colossal return, as reported here, saw her newest release ‘Hello’ say hello to new VEVO and digital sales records and, as a result, become the expected chart-champion for this week’s refreshed Hot 100.

Falling far from short of expectations, the tune ousted The Weeknd from his 6-week chart reign at the top by moving over 1 million in downloads across last week and selling nearly 4 times as much as its nearest competitor, Justin Bieber‘s ‘Sorry’ (which shifted an impressive 277,000k its first week).  Following at #2, ‘Sorry’s premiere on the charts marked the first time two non-U.S. acts debuted at #1 and #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the same week (second time overall following the 2003 #1 and #2 debuts of Clay Aiken and Ruben Studdard‘s inaugural singles).

And, while Adele’s debut adds some much needed estrogen to the tally’s upper dectet, it’s still very much a man’s world.  See what we mean below:
