Anitta is hot on the promotional trail for her latest track: ‘Girl From Rio.’ However, this time around, she is bringing rapper DaBaby along for the ride

The new version of the track sees the Brazilian singer and the ‘Rockstar’ rapper play the roles of two lovers.

As with the original incarnation of the song, ‘Girl From Rio’ is a modern take on on the Brazilian bossa nova song ‘Garota de Ipanema,’ or ‘Girl from Ipanema.’

Her solo version landed in the Top 40 Radio Airplay Chart, a first for Anitta. Surely, the DaBaby remix will help it rise further.

The artist formerly known as Mulatto is making it clear you should just call her Latto moving forward.

As announced via her latest single, the Supah Mario-produced ‘The Biggest,’ the burgeoning Rap diva discussed the backlash and controversy surrounding her former moniker as it’s steeped in centuries of racial and cultural offensiveness.

To formally address the name change, Latto’s lifted a press conference-inspired music video in support of the tune.

Over his short but storied career, Lil Nas X has not been shy about his admiration of Rap Queen Nicki Minaj.

A proud and celebrated #Barb (the name of Minaj’s fan base), LNX has actively participated in forums and threads that support the femcee – and even dressed as the ‘Super Bass’ star for Halloween 2020.

As attention is drawn to the 22-year-old’s latest music video, ‘Sun Goes Down’ (click here to watch), some of his fellow #Barbz have begun accusing him of using Nicki’s name for clout – particularly a scene in the clip where he reflected on his time as his younger self being a Barb before launching his music career.

So many of the discouraging messages landed on his desk, he took to Twitter to announce he will no longer publicly support his fave.

Fans of Taylor Swift received a sweet surprise on the album, as Rodrigo interpolates Swift’s ‘Repuration’ album cut ‘New Year’s Day’ on her song ‘1 Step Forward, 3 Steps Back.’

All songs were written by Rodrigo, Dan Nigro, and Casey Smith.
