Ty Dolla $ign and dvsn have been well established as beacons of brilliance in the contemporary music landscape. So, it’s fitting that news of their new collaborative project – ‘Cheers to the Best Memories’ – sent fans into a frenzy.

And the excitement was amplified the more when the eclectic set was unleashed.

Infectious from its first track to its last, the LP sees the collective serve up a masterclass in qualitative R&B – pulling from a blend of influences to create delicious new gems.

That Grape Juice caught up with Ty and dvsn’s Daniel Daley, who opened up about the project’s inception, the void it fills in R&B, and what it was like working together.

The stars also dished on working with the likes of Mariah Carey and eyeing a team-up with BTS.

Camila Cabello takes center stage in the modern reimagining of ‘Cinderella,’ so it was only fitting that she served as the belle of the ball that was the film’s star-studded  Los Angeles premiere.

Shining in a shimmering monochrome ensemble, the 24-year-old stunned on the purple carpet.

She was joined at the event by co-stars Billy Porter (who plays a Fab G) and Nicholas Galitzine (Prince Robert).

The Kay Cannon-directed flick lands on Amazon‘s Prime Video on September 3.

While Silk Sonic‘s latest single, ‘Skate,’ is already set to roll out of the top 40 after just 4 weeks on the Hot 100, the duo – comprised of GRAMMY winners Bruno Mars and Anderson. Paak – are still watching their joint debut single, ‘Leave the Door Open,’ refuse to leave the top 20.

Found at #15 on the refreshed Pop chart 25 weeks after its premiere (as we reported here), the song’s grip on the chart region – due to enduring digital sales and handsome streaming figures – is just what helped hoist it to multi-Platinum status as recently revealed by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

Despite ongoing backlash stemming from controversial homophobic comments he made in July, the rapper’s looking to quell the public fallout via a series of apologies, new partnerships with HIV/AIDS advocates and education centers, and more.

It’s been nearly 5 years since Chrisette Michele endured a swift and seismic backlash for seemingly endorsing polarizing Donald Trump by singing at his presidential inauguration. Though she made clear her intention was to “be a bridge” between his supporters and detractors, the only bridge she traveled was that straight to “cancelledville.”

The subject of memes, fiery debates, ridicule, and more from fans and industry peers alike, the blowback also bled into her professional and personal life via the loss of her record deal, impacted touring ability, and failed marriage (as we reported here).

Just two months ago she took to the net to openly admit the performance was ‘the wrong thing to do,’ but the admission also came with the question of why her cancellation endures while other high profile figures who have openly endorsed Trump continue to thrive.
