DaBaby‘s easily been the hottest topic in music since his controversial showing at Rolling Loud last week (July 25) saw him launch a homophobic rant against ‘men who suck d*ck in parking lots’ and people living with HIV/AIDS.

As expected, a massive fallout ensued – one that’s not only seen him lose endorsement and concert festival appearances but also experience publicly damning from LGBTQ+ allies and advocates, fans, and even fellow celebrities.

As the 20th anniversary of Aaliyah‘s untimely passing approaches (August 25), the singer’s estate continues to battle her Blackground Records label – helmed by her uncle Barry Hankerson – for control of her music and legacy.

Early Wednesday (August 4), Hankerson sent the late singer’s fans into a frenzy when he launched the cryptic website AaliyahisComing.com – a reported tease that suggests previously unheard Aaliyah music (as well as her entire prized discography) will finally be lifted to streaming services courtesy of his new label, Blackground 2.0.

The move to use the ‘Rock the Boat’ beauty’s catalog to launch his newest business venture has rocked many the wrong way, including her estate.  Look inside to see how they responded to the news.

Miley Cyrus is the latest star to speak up and out after DaBaby‘s shocking homophobic and anti-HIV remarks made on-stage at Rolling Loud Miami. 

As reported, the backlash has been a seismic snowball and seen the rapper axed from several festivals, dropped from campaigns, and condemned by legends such as Madonna and Elton John.

Cyrus, however, taking a different approach than most. For, she’s denouncing cancel culture and encouraging “education, conversation, communication, and connection.”

The Weeknd is making quite an event out of the launch of his new single ‘Take My Breath.’

As covered here on That Grape Juice, the Pop force lifted the lid on the release via a primetime commercial that aired during the US coverage of the Tokyo Olympics.

Now, ahead of the debut of the track, it’s been revealed that the performer had also lined up an IMAX theater roll-out of the ‘Breath’ music video. However, the news was preemptively shared because technical concerns mean said plans cannot proceed.
