Katy Perry is renown for rocking a variety of looks, but her most pronounced trademark has been her dark hair.
Indeed, aesthetically when she hit the scene she halted Pop’s long-running obsession with endless assembly line of blonde starlets.
Recent times have seen her pivot from her established look and some have attributed this to her shaky chart trajectory of late. Almost like a modern music take on Samson in the Bible.
But for those hoping for the return of the “Katy Perry” circa ‘I Kissed A Girl’ and ‘Teenage Dream,’ it doesn’t look like it’ll be happening anytime soon.
Find out why below…
Katy Perry is feeling all sorts of liberated these days.
Because, despite amassing 1.4 billion streams this year, the Pop starlet has shared that she’s not principally driven by commercial success anymore.

Ally Brooke dazzled viewers of the ‘Miss Universe 2019’ pageant on Sunday (December 8) when she delivered a medley of ‘Low Key,’ ‘Higher,’ and other songs set to line her long-awaited solo debut effort.
Yet, while praise rang out on social media for the 26-year-old’s improved stage presence and confidence, that acclaim was later outpaced by a swarm of detractors who slammed the former Fifth Harmony darling for her second performance. Following her uptempo opener with a slowed salute to Queen of Tejano Selena, Brooke – a Texas native – tackled the Grammy winner’s 1995 hit, ‘Dreaming of You,’ with a stirring cover.
Unfortunately, it stirred some to anger and disappointment. See what we mean inside:
Backlash has acted as no deterrent for John Legend and Kelly Clarkson as they continue to promote their revamped version of the holiday classic, ‘Baby, It’s Cold Outside’ (featured on the deluxe edition of the former’s ‘Legendary Christmas’ album).
Despite earning resistance for its updated lyrics, which were reimagined to be more socially conscious than the original, the duo gave the tune its first live rendition via a stunning performance on ‘The Voice’ last week. The acclaim from the showing must have prompted an encore because the Grammy winners – who both serve as judges on this season of the reality talent competition – reunited on Clarkson’s top-rated talk show for yet another impressive rendition.

Camila Cabello fans, affectionately called #Camilizers, were undoubtedly excited and worried when the 22-year-old dropped her sophomore album, ‘Romance,’ last week (December 6).
The set – despite the singer’s onslaught of television, Web, and print promo in the months leading to its release – failed to garner a top 40 hit to precede it. Beyond the monster success of her Shawn Mendes-duet ‘Senorita,’ which is included on the tracklist of ‘Romance’ but was originally featured on the deluxe edition of his self-titled third album, Cabello’s LP was believed by many to be released on the back of little buzz.
Peruse of iTunes charts around the globe, however, has seemingly canceled that presumption.
As of time reported, the effort has manged to hit #1 on the real-time sales tallies of the United States, United Kingdom, Brazil, Mexico, Spain, and over 45 other countries. To add, it also sits at #1 on iTunes and Apple Music’s ‘Worldwide Album Sales’ charts.
Apparently an out-of-the-box success (even though industry analysts have yet to reveal their official predictions), Cabello is not resting on her laurels – a feat evidenced by her visit to ‘Ellen’ the day of the project’s release. If you missed her stunning rendition of ‘Romance’ single ‘Living Proof,’ hop inside:
Shaunie O’Neal is stepping up to defend herself against the ‘Basketball Wives‘ production insider who leaked information about the future of the show to the reputable blind items website ‘Crazy Days and Nights.’
The business woman’s response?

Hollywood, California’s Taglyan Cultural Center was packed Sunday (December 1) for the 29th annual DIVAS Simply Singing fundraiser.
Hosted on Worlds AIDS Day, the event – an annual “must see” created and hosted by actress/singer’s D.I.V.A. Foundation – stands as the United States’ longest-running musical AIDS benefit. Choosing legendary, award-winning songwriter Diane Warren as this year’s honoree, the house was chock full of artists who have sung some of the penman’s most memorable tunes (including Deborah Cox and Brandy).
While on hand, the latter – as seen in the photo above – reunited with Ralph and actor William Allen Young (who portrayed her parents on the hit 90’s sitcom ‘Moesha’). Having teased talks of a reboot of the UPN series over the past few years, B-Rocka went on record to say a revamp was finally in the works.

The Pussycat Dolls are back!
After much ado, Pop’s fiercest felines gave their big reunion performance moments ago on ‘The X Factor: Celebrity’ live final.
While anchored by Nicole Scherzinger, the spectacle saw fellow members Ashley Roberts, Carmit Bachar, Jessica Sutta, and Kimberly Wyatt show up and show out.
Together, the ensemble (who won’t be joined by Melody Thornton for this reunion) rocked the stage with hits such as ‘Buttons’ and ‘Don’t Cha.’ They also seized the moment to close out the performance with brand new bop ‘React.’
With a 2020 arena tour to sell, PCD show and prove why their trek is already one of next year’s hottest tickets.
