The 2020 American Music Awards, airing live on ABC this month, is shaping up to be one of the year’s biggest TV events thanks to the slew of high profile names lining its performance roster and Academy and EMMY-Award nominated actress Taraji P. Henson being tapped host the affair from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.
Music fans already pumped by the ceremony’s previously announced nominations will be even more excited to learn the night’s most nominated female act, Megan Thee Stallion, has trotted onto the show’s performance bill and fills out a list of hitmakers that includes BTS, Dua Lipa, and more.

The 54th Annual CMA Awards aired live on ABC Wednesday night (November 11) and – per usual – gave viewers the opportunity to see their favorite Country acts perform live and walk away with the event’s true star; its trophies.
But, beyond the upset wins in major categories, the biggest surprise may have come courtesy of an appearance from Pop pinup Justin Bieber.
The 26-year-old – hot on the promo trail in support of the tunes set to line his forthcoming sixth studio album – took a break from his own efforts to accompany Dan + Shay‘s live performance of their 2019 hit, ‘10,000 Hours.’
Filmed at California’s iconic Hollywood Bowl, the virtual appearance not only marked the first time Bieber and Dan + Shay performed the song live together but also the Canadian hitmaker’s first time on the CMAs. Needless to say, his diehard fans – affectionately called #Beliebers – weren’t complaining.

Cardi B may have dropped jaws when the stunning set of photos that accompanied her ‘Footwear News’ spread surfaced online Tuesday (November 10), but for some that surprise was anger not appreciation.
As the story (which celebrates the arrival of her November 13-due Reebok shoe line) made its rounds on the net, many took to the mag’s social media handles to slam it for insensitivity to the Hindu religion. The hoopla grew so large, ‘FN’ not only issued an apology but also replaced the cover.
Taking to PEOPLE, reps for the publication stated:
“Yesterday we posted content from our exclusive Cardi B cover shoot. One of the images was intended to pay homage to Hindu goddess Durga, and our intent was to show a powerful woman. However, we realize we were not considerate of certain cultural and religious perspectives and how this could be perceived as deeply offensive. Today, we’re releasing another cover from the shoot that was a subscriber exclusive.”
Later, the GRAMMY winner echoed their sentiment. Look inside for her official statement:
Last week, Ty Dolla $ign celebrated seeing his third album, ‘Featuring Ty Dolla $ign,’ become his first top 10 hit on the Billboard 200 (as we reported here).
The tenancy may have been short-lived as the star-studded set slipped to #32 on this week’s edition of the tally, but – as evidenced by his ongoing promotion of the LP – $ign is looking to see it revisit the chart terrain.
His latest supportive jaunt came courtesy of a visit to ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ Tuesday (November 10). Rocking out a performance of his latest single, ‘Nothing Like Your Exes,’ live from his house, look inside to see Ty put it down like only he can:
Embattled Hip Hop star Tory Lanez may have seen his critically panned last album, ‘Daystar,’ slip out of the Billboard 200 just 4 weeks after its premiere (as we reported here), but he’s looking to turn the tide on the effort by gifting another of its cuts the video treatment.
Much like the music videos for preceding singles ‘In the Air’ and ‘Most High’ (click here to watch them), the new clip – ‘Jokes on Me’ – serves as a suspenseful, cinematic affair that sees Lanez show off his acting chops.

Almost 25-years after its release, ‘Waiting To Exhale’ made headlines again this week when actress Loretta Devine revealed that a revival of sorts was in the works.
And while the news excited some, others weren’t as welcoming of what appeared to be a “sequel” to the original. Especially given how coveted the classic film is and the tragic absence of Whitney Houston, who died in 2012.
Well, Terry McMillan – the revered writer of the like-titled novel that formed the basis of the movie – has provided clarity.
