The 2020 MTV Video Music Awards air tomorrow live from New York City.

With the global health crisis still being a reality, MTV has shifted from its traditional inside venue to an outside format.

This year’s show will focus on the strength of New York City with performances taking place all around the city with limited to no audience.

With the bleak quality of 2020 this year’s show needs an extra boost of life. How befitting it is that the network announced actress, singer and philanthropist Keke Palmer as this year’s host.

That Grape Juice‘s Chet Kincaid caught up Palmer ahead of the show and spoke with her new about new EP ‘Virgo Tendencies’ and the 2020 VMAs – in which she discussed her preparation for the big night as well as sharing an exclusive with us.

Masika Kalysha has one less gig to her name.

The ‘Love & Hip-Hop’ star came under fire when she took to social media faking a kidnap plot to promote her OnlyFans account. Yes, OnlyFans.

Sporting painted-on bruises, she informed distressed viewers she was in danger and had been “beat really bad.” She added that “they are coming back.”

As it turns out, it was nothing but a cheap (and tacky) ploy to drive attention in the direction of her pay-per-view page.

According to Kalysha, the approach wasn’t rooted in selfishness. Quite the contrary.

For, she claims it was themed after ‘Double Crossed’ – the TV show she’s currently filming about human trafficking.

Understandably, producers for the series didn’t see the humor in her behavior and have pulled her from the show.

Now, she’s issued an apology.

The ladies, who themselves were formed on The X Factor, will use their expert insights to group hopefuls into bands who will live together and gain access to their inner circle — including vocal coaches, songwriters, producers and stylists.

The Weeknd obviously has no intention to slow down his reign as 2020’s most successful solo act.

As if dominating the Billboard Hot 100 with efforts found aboard his March-released fourth studio album, ‘After Hours,’ wasn’t enough, he’s also unveiled a number of collaborations over the year including ‘Smile’ with the late rapper Juice WRLD (click here to listen) and, most recently, ‘Over Now’ with Calvin Harris.

The latter – unveiled August 28 (as we reported here) – came as somewhat of a surprise as confirmation of its due date happened just shortly before the song actually debuted. Now, in an effort to help its bid up the charts, the duo have premiered its accompanying music video.
