Amber Riley wants to keep the focus on what’s important and not get sidetracked by drama.

If you thought otherwise, you should definitely check out her recent interview on ‘Real Quick with Danielle Young.’  There, she dished on her extensive involvement in the Black Lives Matter movement – which has included protesting and drumming up awareness via social media.

However, when the 34-year-old was quizzed on the reports that brand her former ‘Glee’ co-star Lea Michele “racist,” she quickly shut down the conversation to redirect it to BLM.  Of course, not without saying just enough to have tongues wagging.

‘Dear Mr. President’ performer P!nk borrowed elements from her 2006 tune to address Donald Trump‘s response (or lack thereof) to the unrest across the nation amid rising deaths from coronavirus and racial injustice related to police brutality.

Taking to social media Wednesday afternoon (June 3), the GRAMMY winner slammed the U.S. president for his pseudo-patriotism:

“How can anyone call themself a patriot or an American if you re-elect a president that doesn’t govern, respect or represent half of our country?” she asked.

Later in the 30-second rant, she declared:

“That’s not America. That’s your America,” P!nk added. “That’s not America. So you either worship the Confederate flag, which is not our flag and it never will be, or you’re a hypocrite that doesn’t actually understand the meaning of patriotism or what it means to be an American.”

Needless to say, his staunchest supporters got wind of her commentary and started an all-out Twitter as a result.  See the exchanges inside:

Meghan Markle has condemned racism in a powerful, impassioned speech delivered in salute of the graduating class of her former school, Immaculate Heart.

The US actress turned British royal has been the target of vile scrutiny, which many maintain is centered around her race.

So intense was the critique that Markle and Prince Harry stepped back from their position as Senior Royals and relocated to North America.

Now, as the world engages in heated discourse about the death of unarmed Black man George Floyd at the hands of a white Minnesota police officer, Markle is using her voice and platform to speak out in support of the many affected by racial injustice.
