Trey Songz felt the sting of ‘Power’ viewers when his unique take on the show’s theme song debuted alongside season 6.
As reported, Trigga re-recorded ‘Big Rich Town’ – which was originally sung by R&B singer Joe.
Fans en masse have expressed their dislike for the switch up and now Trey has weighed-in.

50 Cent‘s not done going off on the Emmy Academy.
The business mogul, who serves as producer for STARZ’s flagship series, ‘Power,’ made headlines last month when he asserted racism was the reason the show has yet to be honored with a golden statuette. Beyond garnering acclaim from viewers and industry critics alike, the Omari Hardwick-led drama has been ratings winner over its tenure – a feat repeated after its season 6 premiere on August 25th.
Topping the night’s viewership numbers among all scripted series on cable, ‘Power’ drew in over 1.47 million viewers (as we reported here). Despite its ongoing popularity, it continues to be ignored by the Emmy Academy and now 50’s had enough of the disregard.
Taking to Instagram, he went on a profanity-fueled rant to let them know just how he feels ahead of the ceremony’s telecast live from Los Angeles on Sunday, Sept. 22. See it below:
Rapstress Azealia Banks has long let her disdain for Cardi B be known.
Not only did she call the ‘Bodak Yellow’ hitmaker an ‘illiterate rat’ in 2017 (click here to read), she followed up in 2018 to label the Grammy winner ‘a poor man’s Nicki Minaj.‘ Ouch! But, if yesterday’s lengthy slam on Instagram is any proof, she’s not done yet.
When fans of the ‘Ice Princess’ brought word to her that Cardi was recently spotted rocking the vintage, figure-hugging Jean Paul Gaultier dress (seen in the picture above), Azealia immediately lifted a video to social media showing her donning a similar ensemble.
The video – accompanied by claims Cardi had stolen the concept from her – also saw Banks hurl a slew of insults in the direction of the Trap Selena. See it all inside:
Sin City’s been a blessing to the likes of some of music’s biggest divas including Celine Dion, Shania Twain, Anita Baker, Jennifer Lopez, Mariah Carey, Britney Spears, and more. But, as has been confirmed today, few are able to boast the returns Pop Queen Janet Jackson can.
The 53-year-old, whose career has certainly been on the upswing since her ceremonious return with 2015’s chart-topping ‘Unbreakable,’ has proven herself just that – unbreakable – when it comes to touring receipts. Beyond commanding audiences as headliner at some of the world’s biggest festivals over the last three years, Jackson’s stomped across North America on 2015’s abruptly interrupted ‘Unbreakable’ tour (which garnered $15M in its short run) and the subsequent ‘State of the World’ tour (which garnered $44M from 2017-2019).
Later sending fans into a frenzy with the February 2019 announcement of her first Vegas residency, ‘Metamorphosis’ (as we reported here) at Park MGM’s Park Theater, the jaunt – which kicked off May 17th – ended just last week to the tune of $13M gross (click here to read more). Much to the delight of her devoted followers, that impressive sum has placed her among the region’s hottest-selling acts of the decade. Details inside:
Queen of Pop Madonna delivered some royally disappointing news today (August 27) to longtime fans gearing up to catch her on the highly anticipated ‘Madame X’ tour.
A step away from the arena jaunts of the diva’s past, the new trek has been billed an ‘intimate outing’ and is comprised of a series of theater dates around the world. Designed in support of Madge’s latest chart-topping album, the June 2019-released ‘Madame X,’ the tour – announced May 2019 (as we reported here) – also boasts a unique residency-inspired schedule as every city visited will be privy to multiple shows.
As fans continued to gather their coins for the pricey tickets, however, the singer’s team delivered reports that indicate the show’s kickoff has been delayed. Find out why inside:
It’s been over two years since Miami dance machine Jason Derulo first announced his fifth studio album, ‘2Sides’ (originally titled ‘777’).
Introduced by the top 30 hit, 2017’s ‘Swalla’ (featuring Nicki Minaj and Ty Dolla $ign), the project has seen a number of singles lifted in its support over the months to follow (see: ‘If I’m Lucky,’ ‘Tip Toe,’ ‘MamaCita,’ and more) – but no parent album has surfaced.
That may be set to change with the release of new single, ‘Too Hot.’ A summery, island inspired jam that samples Chaka Demus & Pliers’ “Murder She Wrote,” the song sees Derulo croon:
“You came to the club in the taxi, but I’m sure you’d prefer the Rolls,” he sings. “So we could get changed in the backseat, because it’s summertime and you know it’s too hot for clothes.”

The Platinum plaques just keep piling up for former Fifth Harmony star Camila Cabello.
As we reported here, the songstress nabbed the second solo #1 hit of her career when her duet with rumored boyfriend, Shawn Mendes, climbed to the top of this week’s Hot 100. Ahead of giving the song its debut televised performance courtesy of a steamy set at this year’s MTV VMAs (click here to watch if you missed it), the duo learned the song had been certified Platinum by the RIAA.

Not even 24 hours after setting the MTV VMA Pre-show stage alight with ‘Hot Girl Summer’s first televised performance (click here to watch), Megan Thee Stallion is trotting toward putting the finishing touches on its long-awaited music video.
The clip’s premiere was reportedly delayed due to having to change its filming location, but the shake-up certainly didn’t put a permanent stay on production. Taking to Twitter to reveal the visual is ‘coming soon,’ Meg gave fans – affectionately called #Hotties – their first glimpse of what she was cooking up with the video’s co-stars Nicki Minaj and Ty Dolla $ign.

Fans of STARZ flagship series, ‘Power,’ apparently couldn’t wait to find out the fates of the show’s leading characters (Ghost, Tasha, Tommy, and Angela) as their viewership helped the high octane drama lead cable ratings among premium cable channels on Sunday night (August 25).
Giving the show some of its highest numbers to date, ‘Power’ not only topped its subscriber based competition but also came as the night’s top rated scripted series as well.

Despite nabbing two top 10 placements on the Hot 100 playing assistant to Khalid and Sam Smith on their respective hits ‘Love Lies’ and ‘Dancing with a Stranger,’ former Fifth Harmony star Normani‘s not been able to replicate that success by her lonesome or as a leading act on a song [to date].
With her song ‘Waves’ failing to make a splash on charts, fans were undoubtedly worried the 23-year-old’s solo ship was set to sink before it sailed – that is, until ‘Motivation.’ Upon its August 16th unveiling, the Ariana Grande-penned, Max Martin-produced bop – with its slick bass, percussion, horn combo – has given the general public just the motivation they needed to perk up and pay attention. That same encouragement was only underscored when the tune’s Dave Meyers-directed music video hit the net and helped lift it to top 5 on streaming and digital download services.
Now, with its inaugural tracking week behind it, look inside to see just where its handsome mix of sales, streaming, and radio airplay landed it for its debut placement on the Hot 100:
