As Saweetie fans impatiently await news on her long-awaited debut album, ‘Pretty B*tch Music,‘ she has been rolling out standalone singles to tide them over until the new project is done baking.

The latest of that ilk comes courtesy of the bumping new tune ‘Do It for the Bay’ – a fitting toast from the Queen of the Bay to her hometown area.

A tag-team with fellow rapper and Cali native P-Lo, the bop has been christened the 2024 anthem of the NFL team the San Fransisco 49ers.

“You ain’t gotta ask who I do it for / Home team iced out / Dipped in that red and gold / Got a lot of sauce like it’s pasta / Pretty little face and I’m stacked like a roster,” Saweetie spits on the sizzling new track.

Don’t think the absence of her serially delayed debut album, ‘Pretty B*tch Music,’ means Saweetie is resting on her laurels.

The project – orginally due in summer 2021 – is undergoing an extensive revamp conceptually and sonically.

“I honestly have an ample amount of songs. It’s all about figuring out what kind of story I want to tell,” she said recently. “I don’t know if I want a linear story…I don’t want it to be an album just full of hits. Yes, I want it to have hits but I want the songs to correlate with one another.”

Until she’s ready to lift the lid on official news surrounding the LP, however, she’s building an entertainment portfolio across multiple genres that will keep her in the public eye until the set is done baking.

Saweetie sent her dedicated fans, the #ICYGang, into a frenzy on July 28 when she unleashed not one, but two new singles: ‘Birthday‘ and ‘Shot O’Clock.’

While the former was introduced alongside its YG-assisted music video, the official visual for the latter wasn’t unveiled until August 3.

Directed by Lauren Dunn, the ‘Shot’ clip shows the rapstress showing off her assets while soaking in an oversized shot glass.

“White toes, stepping on these bitches for my spot / Real Blasian bitch and I whip it a wok,” she boasts over the London On Da Track-produced track that samples Suzanne Vega’s classic 1982 hit, ‘Tom’s Diner.

Thanks to an explosive response on Tik Tok over the last few months, Baby Tate’s 2016 recording ‘Hey Mickey!’ has not only been revived but given a new set of legs thanks to the addition of GRAMMY-nominated rapstress Saweetie.

“Ayy, Mickey, maybe I could be your Minnie (Uh-huh), I’m about my cheddar, but I never been no snitchey, zip them lippy’s/ Flexin’ all that cash, but you acting like a kiddie, this ain’t Disney, real boss b**ch, leave a n**ga quick,” the ‘Tap In’ hitmaker spits on the Dead Head-produced bop that features a prominent sample of Toni Basil‘s 1982 signature hit ‘Mickey.’

In a bid to help the song become Tate’s first Hot 100-charting single (as a lead act), the dynamic duo are pushing the cut into the limelight courtesy of a Chandler Lass-directed music video.

Like The Weeknd, Chris Brown, Miguel, and others, Baby Tate is learning the power Tik Tok has to breathe new life into songs from yesteryear.

Nearly 7 years after the rising rapper-singer released ‘Hey Mickey,’ the tune unexpectedly took off on Tik Tok – a resurgence that’s helped it become her first charting single (having peaked at #40 so far on the main Hip-Hop/R&B chart).

To help it reach even higher heights on that tally and beyond, Tate tapped ‘Tap In‘ star Saweetie to assist on its revamp.

Saweetie has been largely missing from the charts as she worked diligently on her somewhat elusive debut studio album.

Indeed, sans recent EP ‘The Single Life,’ the ‘My Type’ performer has been vocal about her desire to carve out a body of work – having spent the lion’s share of her time focussing on singles and the promotion attached.

With the New Year well underway, Saweetie has new music on the way too.

Today, she lifted the lid on a snippet for the track ‘I Be Chillin.’

Ahead of the long-awaited release of her serially delayed debut album, ‘Pretty B*tch Music,’ rapper-actress Saweetie is giving her dedicated fans (affectionately called #IcyGang) a musical appetizer in the form of the 6-song project titled ‘The Single Life.’

As first teased here, the effort not only comes as a way to tide fans over until the arrival of ‘PBM’ but also sees the GRAMMY nominee break her silence about a number of rumors that have plaqued her recently (including the suggestion that she cheated on ex-boyfriend Quavo with one of his friends).

The first single from ‘Single Life’ comes courtesy of the boisterous ‘Don’t Say Nothin.’

“Don’t you tell nobody we fu**in’ / Shut your mouth ni**a, don’t say nothin’,” she raps on the bass-buoyed song. “That’s what I get for kissin’ on these frogs / He got mad and told my business to the blogs.”

Saweetie has new music on the way!

The femcee has been noticeably low volume while diligently working on her long-awaited album debut.

Earlier this year, the star revealed that she’s intentionally shunning the live circuit to pour her all into the project – which was once titled ‘Pretty B*tch Music’ and is now christened ‘The Single Life.’

With the new-new reportedly incoming soon, Saweetie took to TikTok to share a preview of a fresh track.
