When the albums Janet Jackson released following SuperBowl-gate were shunned and panned by the general public many believed it was a result of the performer’s supposed inability to “keep up” with her then-contemporaries.
We now know that this wasn’t the case and that the wave of negative press and media rejection she faced had little to do with how the public saw her, but everything to do with a petty and maniacal plan hatched by CBS chief Les Moonves to “punish” her for the incident.
A plan, executed with help from the very media apparatus Janet’s work had fortified for years.
The evil has finally been defeated, and efforts to erase Jackson’s achievements foiled by fans who launched #JanetJacksonAppreciationDay to celebrate her art.
