As a Pop purveyor Rihanna is the envy of many of her peers.

Alas, the performer hasn’t had much luck as far as films are concerned. For, after watching ‘Battleship’ sink, the entertainer has learned that her latest movie project ‘Valerian and the City of Thousand Planets’ has done the same.

Billed a box office bomb by ‘Deadline‘, ‘Planets’ was built on a budget of $177 million but, by way of its failure to recoup this, has been written off by critics as a flop after earning only $59.9 million worldwide.

Movie insiders reveal that it will need to generate $350 million to break-even and is unlikely to secure a sequel as its producers seek to cut their losses.

 It now has the potential of becoming one of the most expensive flops. The film stars Dane DeHaan, Cara Delevingne, Clive Owen, Rihanna, Kris Wu, John Goodman and Ethan Hawke, and is based on the Valerian And Laureline comic Besson revered as a child.

Produced by Streetrunner, the cut features Dre (from duo Cool & Dre) and finds Joey Crack The Don in fine form.

Mariah Carey‘s role as Lionel Ritchie‘s new opening act saw her touch down in Anaheim hours ago to storm its good people with the ‘All the Hits Tour.’

Rocked by a wave of negative press garnered by her occasionally “relaxed” performance style, the entertainer wowed fans with a moving performance of her number ‘My All.’

A stunning new arrangement of the cut made it one of the night’s strongest performances.

The mishandling of Rihanna‘s bold ‘ANTI’ has done little to block the performer’s commercial blessings.

Gliding to global glory with ‘Wild Thoughts’, the entertainer is currently overseeing a writing camp launched to produce smash hits for her next studio album in London and is undoubtedly putting the pressure on her guests to deliver pure chart heat.

Pure sales of the single recently crossed the 1,767,000 point as units swept up by streams pushed it over the 6 million milestone helping it to earn its epic new position.

Much to the delight of the star and her collaborators the jam has sold over 10 million units worldwide since its unveiling and has now surpassed sales of Beyonce‘s politically-charged release ‘Formation‘, Lady GaGa‘s ‘A Million Reasons’ and Katy Perry‘s ‘Chained to the Rhythm.’

‘Anonymous’ singer Bobby V is probably wishing he’d remained just that over the weekend after an alleged sexual encounter with a transgender prostitute landed him smack dab in the middle of a highly publicized scandal.

According to reports, V took to an online source to secure the escort, but failed to pay for her…umm…services rendered.  In response, the “lady of the night” filmed the singer leaving her “place of business” and uploaded it to the net (as seen in the video below).

Needless to say, the public reaction was swift and harsh.  So much so, in fact, Bobby turned off his Instagram comments.  First uploading the cryptic message below as a response…

…now he’s clapping all the way back by way of representative.  His spokesperson took to press today to not only slam rumors that her client ever sought the services of an escort, but also that he had no idea the person was transgender.
