As the ladies of TLC prepare for the June 30th release of their fifth and final album, the duo continue to share tidbits of what fans can expect from it.
Already earning thumbs up for the Snoop Dogg-assisted ‘Way Back’ and its follow-up ‘Haters,’ now the twosome are serving up ‘It’s Sunny.’ A disco-flavored affair, the song lives up to its title courtesy of its uplifting lyrics and lively horn-filled instrumentation.
See what we mean below:
‘Sunny’ is the latest gem lifted from the duo’s 12-track, self-titled final album. Click here to see the full track list.
R&B crooner Tank has long been vocal about his support of the LGBT community over the years, a stance reiterated by his recent performance at Washington D.C.’s gay pride event this weekend.
Drawing a sizable crowd, the shirtless singer/songwriter was on hand to croon some of his greatest hits – much to the delight of male and female attendees. Yet, while those in attendance took to Twitter to shower the ‘Please Don’t Go’ performer with praise, some of his longtime fans weren’t exactly pleased with his decision to perform for a gay audience.
Inciting quite the debate on social media, look below for some of the fiery comments and weigh in:
Fifth Harmony are set to honor their promise of new music with the arrival of comeback single ‘Down.’
Recent days have seen the quad tease the release of “something,” which is now confirmed to be the lead release from their hotly anticipated third studio album.
The track, which murmurs suggest “may” feature Gucci Mane, will be officially unveiled this Friday (June 2nd) – the same day they’ll be rocking the Good Morning America Summer Concert Series. Peep the announcement:
A former Islamic extremist believes he knows why ISIS targeted Ariana Grande‘s concert in Manchester, England last week.
22 people died when a terrorist named Salman Abedi ignited a bomb in the foyer of the Manchester Arena prompting the United Kingdom to heighten security measures in the nation with hopes of stifling further attacks.
Now, Mr. Mubin Shaikh has taken to ‘Inside Edition’ to reveal that ISIS has it out for Pop princesses like Grande.
His estimation below…
Grande has suspended her ‘Dangerous Woman Tour’ and announced plans to launch a benefit concert for the families of the men, women and children harmed at the show.
After losing her job at ‘The Blaze‘ following her admission that she was Pro-Choice, the 24-year-old political personality continues to target the pregnant African-American beacon Beyonce with cruel, crass and crude insults.
What she and one Steven Crowder had to say about the mother of three?
Tomi and Steven’s Beyonce bash stands as the latest diss they’ve launched at her following her decision to step out in full support of the peaceful ‘Black Lives Matters’ movement.
After scaring up an impressive $74 million at U.S. box offices with ‘Boo! A Madea Halloween’ last year, Lionsgate and Tyler Perry are teaming up to bring forth a sequel – ‘Boo 2!’
Written, directed, and starring Perry as the lovable, troublesome Madea, the film is reportedly already in production and will be hitting theaters a lot sooner than you’d expect.
The studio has set an October 20, 2017 theatrical opening for the movie, just in time for Halloween, as was last year’s first film which was a hit, grossing $74 million (domestic) on a $20 million budget.
The movie’s announcement comes just as rumors swirled the next Madea film would be titled, ‘Madea Gets Pregnant.’ No word, as of time reported, if that title is still (or was ever officially) in the works.
Bryson Tiller‘s debut album, ‘Trap Soul,’ was a mainstay on the Billboard 200 from its late 2015 premiere well into the next year. Making its inaugural appearance on the chart at #11 thanks to the success of its official lead single, ‘Don’t,’ fans fell head over heels in love with the rapper/singer’s unique fusion of traditional R&B/soul music with the Urban’s sector dominating subgenre – trap music.
With the help of ‘Don’t’s follow-ups – ‘Exchange’ and ‘Sorry, Not Sorry’ – ‘Trap Soul’ was eventually certified platinum. The accomplishment only helped build anticipation and pressure for its follow-up, ‘True To Self.’
A feature-less affair originally set for a late June 2017 release, Tiller took his followers by surprise when he released the project a month early. So far, the critics have been blessing Bryson’s bearing with thumbs up across the board. Now, two days after its release, industry analysts are forecasting that response may be well on its way to being reflected commercially:
This week’s From The Vault is a release that didn’t receive the recognition it deserved.
Today we salute ‘Never Too Far’ by one of the greatest to rock a mic – Mariah Carey.
‘Far’ was issued as the second single from Carey’s ill-fated and oh-so-underrated ‘Glitter’ LP – which served as the soundtrack to the movie of the same name. The ballad was baked by Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis who had become frequent collaborators of the diva.
Unlike its Top 3 predecessor ‘Loverboy,’ the single failed to make an impact on the US charts, mainly due the fact that Mimi was going through a nervous breakdown, rendering her unable to promote the cut.
Still it was a minor hit in the UK where it reached the Top 40.
As she was in no condition to shoot a music video for the song, its official music video was a segment from the movie where Mimi’s character Billie Frank belts the ballad.
Though chart glory wasn’t in the cards for this song, we here at TGJ love it til this day and consider it one of her last great ballads.
With Mariah working on new music, hopefully we’ll get updated ‘Never Too Far’s and ‘Underneath The Stars’ instead of the usual ‘We Belong Together’ and ‘Touch My Body’ re-hashes. Two songs that slay but have become blueprints that she is over-reliant on these days.
Katy Perry wasn’t the only Pop purveyor who took to BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend yesterday.
Also on the line-up? Pop’s most cohesive girl group Little Mix who took to the stage to rock the event’s audience with a high-powered set filled to the brim with hits.
For much of his career Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson has led many a movie to box office glory.
So, movie lovers who awaited the release of his ‘Baywatch’ reboot wouldn’t have been wrong to assume he would do the same for the project which hit theatres via Paramount this week.
Unfortunately, they’ve now learned that they were wrong following wave after wave of bad reviews and talk that is set to do anything but create a splash at the box office.
Said talk hasn’t gone unnoticed by Dwayne.
How the herculean actor is taking the news?
Well…
@SassyMamainLA@mrsingleton@baywatchmovie Wow just two? Really? Odd because fans are loving it. Clearly you’re the wrong audience for a raunchy rated R film. Sorry bout that! ??
Oh boy, critics had their venom & knives ready ?. Fans LOVE the movie. Huge positive scores. Big disconnect w/ critics & people. #Baywatch? https://t.co/K0AQPf6F0S
@MovieMantz ?? Whaa? Who taught you economics? 35-45% of your budget in just one territory (US) is excellent. Our worldwide rollout begins next week. ??
‘Bay’ was built of a budget of $69 million and has swept up $10 million so far.
That number is expected to rise to $30 million by the end of the weekend but will fail to live up to commercial expectations even if it does so.
What a shame to take this charming cast and maroon them in a morass of stale jokes and sub-sitcom-level plot twists in a remake that reads as a missed opportunity.
Will reviews like the one above threaten to disturb its progress globally?
