UK’ers, you ready?

This summer Channel 4 takes to the streets – from street dance, urban sport, street art to Hip-Hop to spoken word. Featuring an all-star cast, Street Summer explores the influences that have shaped what it means to be “cool” in the Urban arena, while also showcasing the most exciting new talent from the underground!

Presented by actor and lifelong Hip-Hop fan Idris Elba and featuring stars from both sides of the Atlantic (Snoop Dogg,  Nas, Rakim, Jessie J, and Chipmunk, to name just a few) How Hip Hop Changed the World countdowns the defining moments of a culture that exploded out of the wastelands of 1970’s New York and went on to become one of the most dominant global, economic, political and social forces of our time. From the birth of turn-tabalism, to the UK grime artists which pervade the airwaves, this two hour special reveals everything you need to know about Hip Hop and beyond.

For the very first time, Concrete Circus, directed by Mike, brings together five of the world’s best street sport talents and their amazing filmmakers. Their recent films have it all: beauty, danger, jaw-dropping action, and – between them – nearly 50 million online views. You already know this’ll be a must-see!

The season includes the UK TV premiere of Banksy’s documentary Exit Through The Gift Shop, as well as Graffiti War, a documentary looking at the creative tension between street art and graffiti.

Elsewhere, three-part series Street Dance Wars tells the story of up-and-coming street dance crews at the Street Dance XXL UK Championship.

A specially commissioned dance, film One Man Walking is a powerful and stylish collision of Krump, Hip-Hop, B-boy and Parkour, set on the night-time streets of London town!

Street Summer starts on Friday 12 August and will be complemented by a range of programming on T4, More4, Film4 and 4Music.

Prior to then, hit ‘PLAY’ on the video above to get a taste of what you can expect!

“Rolling In the Deep” singer Adele revealed earlier this summer that her next album will boast a more ‘acoustic feel’.  Now, reports have surfaced the songstress may be adding a twang to that acoustic sound.

Speaking with Billboard.biz, the singer referred to hearing American country music for the first time “like a four-year-old in a candy shop who’s discovering sweets again.”   She elaborated by stating:

Via Billboard.biz:

“I was exposed to a lot of country, rockabilly and bluegrass. The melodies and to-the-point lyrics I have found in a lot of American styles of music is definitely something I’m going to be pursuing heavily from now on. I want to spend some time in Austin in Texas and Nashville, Tennessee, and learn about it.”

Reports have surfaced today that Queen of Pop Madonna has enlisted super-producer William Orbit for her forthcoming 12th studio LP.  Fans of the ‘Music’ singer know that Orbit was the craftsman behind her most critically acclaimed (and one of her best selling) album to date – ‘Ray of Light’.  If the reports are indeed true, it would mark the first time the duo have worked together in nearly a decade.

Fans may remember Orbit most recently made headlines for his Twitter rant responding to his exclusion from Britney Spears‘ latest album ‘Femme Fatale’.

Maybe growing competition from identity thieves chart rivals Spears, Lady Gaga, Rihanna, and others is forcing Madge to pull out the big guns.  Either way, it will be interesting to hear what the two come up with and see how that product fares on charts.

Check out the album cover of ‘The Dream‘s upcoming project ‘Terius Nash EST. 1977′.

Set for release at the end of the coming month, the first single to be released from the LP is titled ‘Form Of Flattery’, produced and written by the entertainer whose credits include Rihanna‘s ‘Umbrella‘ and Beyonce‘s ‘Single Ladies’.

Fans of world renowned producer ‘The Dream’ needn’t doubt his love and appreciation for them.

For it has been confirmed that he will release a free album in coming weeks, complete with original material as a thank you for their support.

It’s been quite the sophomore journey for Melanie Fiona. Indeed, the soulful songstress has seen her album, ‘The MF Life’, subject to a series of delays.

All, it appears, is water under the bridge now, as new promotional shots for the project have surfaced.

Classy, sassy, and elegant, the Kirk Edwards snaps capture the essence of Fiona as an artist. Here’s hoping the LP’s material delivers when it hits stores on October 25th.

Now would be a good time for Pop starlet Rihanna to catch up on re-runs of Judge Judy and the like because  she is reportedly headed to court.

For plagiarizing David LaChapelle‘s work.

Though still in promotion for her 4th #1 album ‘4’, Beyonce also made headlines with last month’s announcement of  her starring role in the Clint Eastwood-directed ‘A Star is Born’.  Production is not set to start until the end of the year, but the burgeoning pop icon speaks regularly on the film, calling it the ‘biggest opportunity’ of her life.

In a recent Reuters report the singer sheds more light on the upcoming project.  See what else Mrs. Knowles Carter had to say about this and more after the jump:

Christina Milian may have a new reason to ‘Dip It Low’ as US Magazine has revealed the singer may be eyeing a spot on next season’s ‘Dancing With the Stars’.  While the cast is still being filled out, sources have revealed to the magazine that the former Mrs. Nash is definitely a ‘possibility’.

And, with two different versions of a scrapped album (originally to be released on Myspace Records), this arena may be just what the ‘A.M. to P.M.’ singer needs to reignite interest.  While fellow R&B stars Mario, Mya, and (to some extent) Brandy did not immediately capitalize on the buzz around their DWTS cameos, ask Nicole Scherzinger what the show can do for your career.  Even Lil’ Kim, to a degree, can attest.

And since Milian’s moves on the dancefloor are what partly brought her to fame, here’s hoping the stint leads to better opportunities.

In what has been sure to garner strong reactions from both sides of the fence, the MTV Video Music Awards 2011 supposed snubbing of Rihanna is a topic that will be sure to remain hot on every one’s lips until the event itself is over.

Being excluded from all the major categories, including Best Pop Video and Best Female Video, the only time the singer’s  name appears in the nominations is when it is following the name of the act whose music she featured on.

With Katy Perry leading the way with a ground breaking set of nominations and with even budding acts such as Tyler The Creator and Kreayshawn finding their way into one category or another, could  MTV be punishing the ‘SOS‘ singer for the controversies she incurred earlier on this year?

There is the fact that she is being sued by two world renowned photographers who both claim her ‘S&M’ video was nothing more than a shameless rip off of their work and then of course there is the ‘Man Down‘ video.

The video which saw her come under fire from the Parents Television Council who claim the visual like the song itself incited violence.

We here at That Grape Juice are more than eager to hear what you think the real reason Ms. Fenty was left out of this year’s nominations is.

For despite what anyone says about her, the starlet has succeeded in becoming an artist whose impossible to ignore videos are both highly anticipated and passionately debated.

Well that didn’t take long. Despite Maroon 5 and Christina Aguilera shooting the video for new single ‘Moves Like Jagger’ this weekend gone, a teaser for the Jonas Akerlund directed clip has been released.

Check out it below…

As earlier reported, Pop diva Christina Aguilera shot the video for surprise hit ‘Moves Like Jagger’ over the weekend.

The 30 year old teamed up with fellow ‘Voice’ judge Adam Levine and his band Maroon 5 for the track (on which she serves as a guest feature).

‘Telephone’ and ‘Hold It Against Me’ director Jonas Akerlund took helm of the clip, which saw Levine parade shirtless and the legendary Mick Jagger himself appear.

The success of the track, which currently sits at #8 on the Billboard Hot 100, is the latest home-run in Aguilera’s comeback campaign; a campaign undeniably bolstered too by the popularity of the ‘The Voice’ – which is set to return with all judges for another season.
