With her divorce in rearview, the Queen of Hip-Hop/Soul returns with uplifting anthem ‘Only Love.’

In a heartfelt message to fans issued moments ago she explained the ethos of the record, saying:

I’ve been in the studio working on new music and was excited to share a little bit with you all. I had a year of so many ups and downs and have come out the other side with a renewed spirit and a fresh perspective. I’m entering  my next chapter with an open mind and heart. ONLY LOVE is where I am right now and I couldn’t keep it to myself any longer!!! #sisterlove#onlylove

As the commercial and critical acclaim continues to roll in for the first ever authorized documentary about the rise and fall of music’s most spectacular voice, the late Whitney Houston, her family – namely her mother/singer Cissy Houston – continues to grapple with some of the revelations made in the flick.

In addition to addressing the pop icon’s introduction and consequent addiction to drugs, believed battles with her sexuality, and more, one of the most shocking reveals of the film was her alleged childhood molestation by cousin/singer Dee Dee Warwick.  Cissy reportedly did not find out about the allegations until she saw the film’s final product.

With fans still reeling from the alarming news, the 84-year-old has joined her famous niece, Dionne Warwick, and taken to press to address the hoopla and refute a number of the claims made in the film.  Read their lengthy statement in full inside:

Before Ty Dolla $ign delivers the first tastes from his reported forthcoming duet album with Teyana Taylor (click here to read more), the rapper/crooner is serving fans a listen to offerings from his joint project with Jeremih.

The album, titled ‘MihTy‘ (set to feature the likes of Chris Brown, Lil Wayne, and more) has yet to score a release date, but tunes from its track list are already getting the video treatment.  The first from the set?  ‘The Light.’

Joseline Hernandez rose to prominence as a compelling cast-member of ‘Love & Hip-Hop: Atlanta.’ But the fall-out from her departure is proving even more drama-filled.

As reported, the Puerto Rican princess has been throwing shade grenades at the show’s creator and producer Mona Scott-Young, repeating the central claim that the exec owes her money. Allegedly. 

And if folk thought Hernandez will have moved on now that she’s landed her own WE tv series (‘Joseline Takes Miami’), they ought to think again.

As reported, rising star Stefflon Don serves as the only female featured in the XXL Freshman Class Of 2018 — and is the first woman in over three years to do so.

Keen to prove that she’s more than a pretty face, the British-Jamaican stepped into the spotlight for a special cypher feature in celebration of the certified salute.

Childish Gambino is ready for the summer and makes it that all sorts of clear with the surprise release of the ‘Summer Pack EP’

Bundled together on streaming services ala Drake’s ‘Scary Hours’ set, the newly hatched tracks are ‘Summertime Magic’ and ‘Feels Like Summer.’

The songs are both breezy and a marked departure from socially reflective chart-topper ‘This Is America’; they also serve as the latest taste of Gambino’s RCA Records debut (due later this year).

Interestingly, neither are the studio version of the still-elusive mystery track the star performed last month on SNL.
