Most recently dropping jaws with her sociopolitical clip for song ‘Still’ (which featured her dressed as different victims of police brutality like Breonna Taylor and George Floyd), the R&B sexpot’s now dropping draws in the new music video for the steamy ‘1800-One-Night.’

The self-directed affair sees Taylor providing late night service as a sex operator and seducing her customers to a private room of their call center.

The NAACP Image Awards 2021 will undoubtedly provide many-a-notable moment courtesy of the television, movie, literary, and music stars who are set to take to the stage to accept its honors.

And while the ceremony will air live on BET March 27 at 8 p.m. ET/ 7 p.m. CT (and simulcast CBS, BET Her, VH1, MTV, MTV2, and LOGO), the event’s non-televised awards have already been announced.

It’s almost time for the 52nd Annual NAACP Image Awards.

Unveiling its full list of nominations today, the prestigious awards honors actors, actresses, singers, authors, and activists of color, in and out of the entertainment industry.

Beyonce leads  with six nods in the recording categories. 

Queen Bey is joined by the likes of  H.E.R, Ledisi, Alicia Keys, and Chloe X Halle on the list of acts with multiple  noms in the music bracket.

Elsewhere Netflix leads in the TV and motion picture categories, with major looks for ‘Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom’ (including individual nods for leads Viola Davis and Chadwick Boseman) and Shonda Rhimes’ ‘Bridgerton.’

Chloe x Halle continue to pour potent performances online.

The latest sees the singing sisters raise the roof with a rousing showing of ‘Lift Every Voice.’

Aptly rocking ensembles that featured notable Afro-American figures such as Breonna Taylor and Janet Jackson, the song choice was notable.

For, it was penned by the NAACP leader James Weldon Johnson and his brother John Rosamond Johnson and is widely considered to be the “Black American National Anthem.”

As we reported here, Megan Thee Stallion rocked headlines when she took to ‘SNL’ to deliver a performance of her #1 hit, ‘Savage,’ chock full of moving messages to support the protection of Black women.

While taking a “moment of silence” (as powerful quotes about social justice played in the background), Stallion stood in front of a screen that specifically called out Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron for his role in assisting the policemen responsible for the death of Louisville healthcare worker Breonna Taylor go minimally punished (click here to read).

What initially appeared to be a graceful end to Nene Leakes‘ tenure on the ‘Real Housewives Of Atlanta’ has quickly descended into chaos.

As reported, the reality star has essentially confirmed that her services were no longer required by Bravo and she’s been hitting out ever since.

Leakes’ latest vent took aim at the network, Andy Cohen, and even Wendy Williams. She also shockingly likened the broader situation to that of Breonna Taylor.

And while her messy exit has divided opinion, one person seemingly not siding with Leakes is fellow ‘Housewives’ original Shereé Whitfield.
