With talent as pronounced as Jessie J‘s, it’s no surprise that the Pop powerhouse has built quite the fanbase in the US.

However, Stateside supporters of the singer will have to wait a while longer before seeing her take to the stage — it has been announced today.

The 25-year-old ‘Price Tag’ belter was slated to support Robin Thicke on his upcoming North American tour from March; a spot that would have seen her introduce material from her recently released sophomore LP ‘Alive’ to US audiences.

Yet, with the American version of the LP still cooking, J has opted to ensure it’s “well done”. Hence has vacated her spot on the trek.

Bravo!

mariah-carey-thatgrapejuice-2014

As even the loyalest of lambs would agree, it’s been a rocky road for Mariah Carey‘s new studio album.

The long-awaited set (the diva’s first traditional effort since 2009’s ‘Memoirs of An Imperfect Angel’) has been preceded by three “lead singles” that ironically led to nothing but delays. 2012’s ‘Triumphant’ was anything but, while management changes and a so-so stint on American Idol quelled the momentum last Spring’s ‘Beautiful’ built. Winter’s ‘The Art of Letting Go’ was also a chart disaster.

However, as Mimi history has taught us: never count the diva out. Indeed, without the ‘Charmbracelet’s and ‘Glitter’s’ before it, we’d have never have been blessed with the brilliance of ‘The Emancipation’.

It appears this is a memo Mariah herself has embraced, for she is gearing up to release her latest “lead single” – one a prominent  industry figure has deemed “extremely radio friendly”.

It’s Lena Dunham-led show with a run that’s been groundbreaking to say the least.

Alas, it would seem Pop royal Rihanna cared little of ‘Girls‘ success when she declined the chance to feature in its second season, deciding to opt out of the opportunity it has emerged today.

It may not be as Hot 100 friendly as ‘Teenage Dream’, but at the rate it’s selling, Katy Perry‘s ‘Prism’ is paced to outshine its predecessor on album charts.

Already besting ‘Dream’s first week sales to give Perry her best first week outing to date, today brought with it news that ‘Roar’s parent album has now passed the “million sold” mark in its 11th week  (a feat it took ‘Dream’ approximately 20 weeks to accomplish).

Now, as if this news of the singer’s third million-selling album wasn’t enough for KatyCats to celebrate, it comes on the heels of news that the “killer queen” will be collaborating with Queen of Pop Madonna for a new project:

Keha-3

It’s been a little over a year since Patricia Sebert, mother of chart-topping songstress Ke$ha, made headlines for sharing her grievances about the industry she feels has had its fair share of detrimental effects on her diva daughter.

After claiming the Illuminati forced her daughter to sing ‘Die Young’, now mama Sebert is back to slam the industry for the ‘Warrior’ wailer’s highly publicized battle with bulimia – a battle that saw her enter rehab at the top of the year.

With her sights set on Ke$ha’s hit-making producer Dr. Luke, see what Sebert alleges about the industry’s toll and Dr. Luke’s direct effect below.  The quotes gained so much traction, Dr. Luke lent an official statement in response:
