‘Neighbors Know My Name’ crooner Trey Songz has seemingly seen his name mentioned more in court documents than on Billboard charts as of late, but now – thanks to a federal judge – the embattled star has scored a contextual win in the former arena.
In April, Hip-Hop fans were stunned when Coi Leray took aim at Latto (born Alyssa Stephens) for lyrics found in the latter’s song ‘Put It On Da Floor’ that were perceived as subliminal disses.
And though she later walked back the initial clap back by suggesting she may have “overreacted,” Coi made it clear she didn’t appreciate being mentioned in any seemingly derogatory fashion – a stance she reiterated recently when she took to ‘The Angie Martinez Show.’
“Nobody should be mentioning my body,” she told Martinez. “As Black women in the industry, the only way that the world is gonna go round the way we want it to is if we come together,” she relayed before suggesting Latto’s statement could have negatively influenced young girls’ perception of acceptable body image.
Stephens may have cleared up the confusion at the time by telling Leray she “loved her body,” but during a recent session with our friends at ‘XXL’ she went on to express how some issues (like Rap beefs) just get blown out of proportion because of overzealous fans.

Among the 12 titles BET+ has announced for its 2023 holiday slate, few are as anticipated as the Tichina Arnold-led ‘So Fly Christmas.’
Directed by award-winning actress Terri J. Vaughn, the film follows a woman who was stood up at the altar on her favorite day of the year – leading her to join forces with a friend and declare war on love in the hilarious yuletide comedy.

Via his first official release since 2022’s ‘Donda 2,’ rapper-mogul Kanye West is ready to tackle Billboard charts again with the Ty Dolla $ign and Bump J-assisted ‘Vultures.’
Co-produced by Chords, West, and $ign, the new bop sees Yeezy raise eyebrows with some direct reflections on some of the controversial statements he made last year about Jewish people.
“How I’m anti-Semitic? / I just f-cked a Jewish b-tch / I just f-cked Scooter’s b-tch and we ran up like Olympics,” the 46-year-old rapped.
And while its original (leaked) incarnation reportedly featured fellow chart-topping rapper Lil Durk, the official version of ‘Vultures’ that hit digital streaming outlets does not list him as a contributor.

Renee Rapp may have soared to critical acclaim on the wings of her debut album, ‘Snow Angel,’ but now the singer-actress is looking to see that success mirrored commercially with its deluxe edition (released November 17).
Expanded with four additional tracks, a standout on the revamped project comes courtesy of the Coco Jones-assisted remix of ‘Tummy Hurts.’
“Baby, go open a Bible/ ‘Causе God knows that sin is a cycle/ Lied to my face, it’s your hobby/ Boy, you fine as hell for a psycho,” the GRAMMY nominee contributes to the updated cut.
Just days after the remix hit the Web, Rapp has lifted the lid on its official music video.
