Lauryn Hill‘s chronic lateness saw her hit headlines over the weekend after Atlanta concert-goers booed for turning up over 2 hours after the start time of her concert.

When the news hit social media, the story took on a life of its own – so much so that the former Fugees front-woman was forced to make a statement. Therein she promised to make it up to fans, apologised, but oddly blamed her tardiness on her “energy” needing to be right and how it doesn’t always align with show times.

That didn’t wash with many, including Roots drummer Questlove.

Idris Elba & the rising actress Michaela Coel were among the many who made their way to London’s Royal Festival Hall to celebrate this year’s BAFTA TV Awards.

Celebrating the best of what British television had to offer viewers in the last year, the event honoured the comedian Lenny Henry for his services to entertainment and fight for on-screen diversity as well as award Coel and her hit TV series ‘Chewing Gum.’

Arsenio Hall has slapped the performer Sinead O’Connor with a $5 million lawsuit  for claiming that he may to blame for the death of his good friend Prince.

How? The ‘Nothing Compares To You’ singer/songwriter shocked fans by stepping forward to accuse the talkshow host of supplying Prince with drugs for decades and spiking her drink at a party thrown by Eddie Murphy.

Her allegations then prompted investigators to question all of the late star’s aides and friends including an infuriated Hall who responded by filing the aforementioned lawsuit.

Still rocking across the United States on her hotly-selling ‘Formation’ tour, pop diva Beyonce took to the NRG Stadium (in hometown of Houston, Texas) last night and took the crowd to task belting some of her greatest hits and new numbers found aboard her sixth solo LP, ‘Lemonade.’

But, while the audience inside were on their feet from start to finish, there was another group on their feet and making noise outside the stadium – members of Houston’s ‘Coalition of Police and Sheriffs’ (COPS).

Standing in silent protest a mile away from the facility, the coalition’s assembly was in direct response to the singer’s alleged ‘anti-police’ SuperBowl 50 performance.  See video below:
