The movie ‘Southpaw’ has welcomed the first single to be lifted from its soundtrack today.

Its name? ‘Phenomenal’…performed by ‘8 Mile‘s Eminem!

The number is produced by DJ Khalil and was penned to support the project which tells the story of a boxer (Jake Gyllenhaal) who is forced to rebuild his life after a bitter feud with a rival athlete leads to the death of a loved one and the dismantling of the world as he knew it.

The British singer Rita Ora also stars in the July 24th release.

Pop icon Janet Jackson has had the music industry abuzz in recent weeks following confirmation of her new album and world tour.

Like most things Janet, the rousing reveal held back on further details – namely which label the diva would be releasing her fresh material on. [Jackson left Def Jam in 2010 due to creative differences]

The speculation needn’t continue now, though, for Billboard have confirmed the 49-year-old’s new recording home.
