Waiting below? India Arie, Jennifer Lopez, Chris Brown and more!

In New York City India Arie soared into Barnes & Noble to support the release of ‘The Soul of Richard Rodgers‘ alongside Billy Porter and Zaire Park.
Gracing the launch party with a performance, the ‘Ready for Love’ songstress loved and left partygoers before the unwrapping of her next studio album ‘Worthy’ which will sail its way into her fans’ worlds this year.
A release date is yet to be set.
Down in Miami, Jennifer Lopez and her new flame Alex Rodriguez found themselves ambushed by the paparazzi as they stepped out of the Prime 112 restaurant located at 112 Ocean Drive.

The couple dined shortly after going public with their relationship which blossoms months after Lopez pulled the plug on her time with the entertainer Drake.

Rodriguez, a baseball player, is worth a reported $300 million and like Lopez was raised in New York City before becoming a household name by way of wins scored in his field.

Watch him in action below….

Lopez wasn’t the only one with business in Florida this month. For, Chris Brown finds himself in alligator-invested legal water following his alleged assault of a photographer.

As reported here, Brown was caught punching said photographer on camera (allegedly)  at a Tampa nightclub and parting ways with the venue long before he was scheduled to.

The club is now asking the singer to cough up the $30,000 they paid him to appear at the club as they believe he started the fight and had no good reason to split earlier than he was supposed to.

If he doesn’t return the cash he may have another lawsuit on his hands.

Let’s head over to New York.

There, the professional athlete and rising star Sterling Shepard attended the NFLxFIT Visual System Design Contest at The Museum at FIT to celebrate the marriage of sports and fashion.

Unfamiliar with the contest?

The National Football League (NFL) and the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) partnered more than eight months ago to challenge students minoring in Creative Technology to reimagine all of the NFL team identities, including artwork and graphics inspired by the teams’ logos and fan cultures. The new graphic elements and branding treatments will be used on NFL merchandise.

Shepard, who is romantically tied to Chanel Iman, was signed by the Giants for $5.94 million in 2016 and plays alongside Odell Beckham Jr.

Your thoughts?

Nabbing 2016’s best-selling release in the form of his blockbuster LP, ‘Views,’ was quite the double edged sword for rapper Drake.  On one hand, the Grammy-nominated set laid claim to the impressive title by beating out some of music’s biggest names (Beyonce, Rihanna, Kanye West, etc), but on the other hand the pressure was on its successor to match or surpass its impressive stats.

Now, after a full tracking week of his latest effort – ‘More Life’ – it appears the challenge was met head on.

As we reported here, the playlist was predicted to be greeted with sales equivalence of no less than 500k – a feat achieved by unprecedented streams.  In fact, reports have it the 6 God’s latest effort has been streamed over 380 million times worldwide (yes, that’s 50 million more than the record-setting ‘Views’).  With streaming and impressive sales together, ‘More’ has not only secured the rapper the best first week sales of the year, but his “playlist album” is the second best-selling project released this year overall.

‘Unpretty’ pair TLC may have slammed with ugly accusations of running with fans’ kickstarter donations provided to fund their last album, but now they’re hoping a listen at one of its finished products will help clear their name (and the air).

Teaming with FOX’s hit series, ‘Star,’ the group’s lead singer T-Boz took to Twitter earlier this week to excite followers with the announcement there’d be new music on display during this week’s episode.  When quizzed on if the tune – titled ‘Way Back’ – would be the kick off to the June 2017-due project, T responded:

After revealing that she had set the next few months aside rebuild her brand, Azealia Banks was surprised to learn that she had been dissed in Nicki Minaj’s brand new ‘Empire’ game application.

In response, the entertainer penned an open letter to the ‘Shanghai’ lyricist which criticised her for what she believed was an unprovoked low-blow.

Little did she know that said letter, which compared Minaj’s material to McDonalds, would “encourage” the rapper’s fans to hunt for material to counter with.

What they discovered?

A video they say proves Banks’ critically-lauded material, which is often praised for its concepts and originality, is anything but original.
