Toni Braxton and Babyface blend their A-star talents together for upcoming album ‘Love, Marriage & Divorce’.

Preceded by Urban radio hit ‘Hurt You’, the album -which is billed as a musical drama-saw its accompanying cover unwrapped earlier today.

Due on November 25th, the project marks the first time the pair have sung on a record together in over 20 years, and 13 since they collaborated in any capacity (on Braxton’s 2000 LP ‘The Heat’). Prior to the then, the duo cooked up chart landmarks such as ‘Breathe Again’ and ‘You’re Making Me High’.

Speaking to ESSENCE, Toni said of their new album:

“I think because Babyface and I have both gone through divorces, we can relate and we can collaborate together on this topic and make it so others who have gone through this situation can relate”.

Having heard a sizeable amount of the album, we’re oh so amped for the full course. Fans of the pair will be elated to note that the project isn’t the standard run-of-the-mill duet LP. It’s a qualitative, sonically rich, and a stellar addition to their respective catalogues. Very grown and sexy. We can’t get enough of a track titled ‘Steam’. Remember where you read that first!
