As two of Pop’s most celebrated talents, Justin Timberlake and Lady GaGa boast a reach that is global. It’s little surprise, then, that the megastars are especially appreciated in Europe, where they have been nominated multiple times at the 2013 MTV European Music Awards.

The list of acts in contention for the coveted gongs at the November 10th Amsterdam event was revealed early this morning, with ‘Mirrors’ singer JT up for a whopping five nominations, while GaGa earns quatre rounds of ‘Applause’ after nabbing four nominations.

Frank Ocean. Elijah Blake…August Alsina.

With the second name in that line up already causing quite the storm at the label, Def Jam‘s August Alsina sets his sights on similar ground this year- following the August 20th release of his new EP ‘Life Under The Gun‘.

However, unlike his R&B label mates, Alsina holds court in gritty Hip Hop territory, seeing him hailed as the Rap vocalist to look out for in the year to come.

Set for release on September 17th, Rockstar Games‘ ‘Grand Theft Auto 5′ no doubt marks one of the hottest- if not the hottest- video game releases of the year.

The above fact, set to see the project’s sales sing to the tune of $1 Billion….in its first month of release!

On course to outperform its predecessor GTA 4, the four weeks between September 17th and October 17th will see it draw in the mind blowing retail sales figure, according to Robert W. Baird  analyst Colin Sebastian, who shares in a note penned to investors:

“Given the significantly higher installed base of relevant console platforms at launch, greater sales concentration among the top video game franchises, and unprecedented pent up demand, we expect GTA 5 to outpace GTA 4 sales, and generate roughly $1 billion in retail sales during the first month.”
