Get into these snaps of ‘La Tortura’ singer Shakira in Spain hours ago, stepping out to show her support for the opening of a new gallery in Barcelona.

Sans her new baby and boyfriend, the Roc Nation artist hit the event with director  Jaume de Laiguana as she reportedly continues work on her first album under the industry power house, also home to Solange Knowles, Rihanna, Rita Ora, Kylie Minogue and ‘Looking For Perfect’ singer Elijah Blake.

With a matter of months to go before the arrival of her new album, last month saw ‘And I’ beauty Ciara hit Europe for a series of appearances to boost momentum for the release.

One of these, saw her arrive in Amsterdam and perform her Trap infused dance jam, ‘Wake Up‘ for fans. Sans choreography but armed with the fire we hope to see in the promo campaign for the album, the performance made for fun viewing.

This, even though we hoped more effort was placed in pushing her broader material (see ‘Overdose’ & ‘Sorry’).

As far as she’s concerned, the violent past she shared with Grammy winning singer Chris Brown is just that…a thing of the past.

Unfortunately for Rihanna, last night saw her past unearthed in an episode of ‘Law & Order: SVU‘ which dealt with a A-list couple battling domestic abuse, pulling from her story by way of its theme and choice of actors.

Now, after it aired on NBC last night, fans of the MAC girl took to the social networking Twitter to air out their feelings towards the show’s execution of carefully crafted story.

As comebacks go, No Doubt‘s ‘Push & Shove’ came and went like a thief in the night.

The album’s performance (or lack-thereof) surprised many industry analysts who perceived the group’s popularity was intact despite a ten year hiatus.

In learning the hard way that artists can’t “disappear” and remain relevant these days, the Pop quad mapped out a world tour to re-engage and rebuild their live fanbase.

However, in a somewhat surprising move, the Gwen Stefani led outfit have announced that they have cancelled postponed hitting the road to work on a new album altogether.

And while we already reported that the group are recording new material, it appears the project is coming together much faster than anticipated.
