LisaRaye McCoy celebrated her birthday today and while (for most) it’d be a day of rest, the actress turned in quite the performance.

The drama began when her half-sister DaBrat called into Fox Soul‘s Cocktails With Queens to help her celebrate her day.

While attempting to articulate her birthday wish, the rapper was interrupted by LisaRaye who seized the moment to confront her.

The issue?

According to ‘The Players Club’ star, she found out about Da Brat’s sexuality via blogs and social media – when she came out as being in a relationship with Jesseca Dupart.

So intense was the segment that at one point LisaRaye told her intervening co-hosts “I don’t give a f*ck what y’all saying. At all.”

Among the prestigious list of luminaries, world leaders, scientists, artists, and icons featured in TIME magazine’s recently ‘100 Most Influential People of the Year’ list is Abel Tesfaye – better known to his fans as The Weeknd.

While a number of other artists have seen their commercial relevance wane in light of the global health crisis, Tesfaye – a multi-GRAMMY award winning music superstar nearly a decade into his career – may be experiencing his best year yet thanks to the megahit, ‘Blinding Lights,’ and its blockbuster parent album, ‘After Hours.’

In addition to earning his own cover of TIME for his domination of the music realm, the 30-year-old also showcased tunes from the top-selling LP by rendering live renditions of ‘Lights’ and ‘In Your Eyes’ for the mag’s accompanying ABC TV special.

Justin Bieber has many fans, but we’re not sure there’s any as vocal about their support as Chance The Rapper.

The pair are currently promoting new single ‘Holy,’ which is the first single lifted from the singer’s upcoming new album. A project that’ll be arriving just months after latest LP ‘Changes.’

And while some have wondered whether the rush to release new material is due to the lack of resonance of the ‘Yummy’ led album, Chance seems to be chalking it to fate. For, he has given a ringing endorsement to the incoming record.

So much so that he’s drawn eye-brow raising comparisons to Michael Jackson.

Wednesday afternoon (September 23), a grand jury indicted former Louisville police Detective Brett Hankison on 3 charges of ‘wanton endangerment’ for firing into a neighboring apartment the night Kentucky EMT and aspiring nurse Breonna Taylor was killed by cops (as we reported here).

The decision was handed down after six months of pressure from civil rights activists, celebrities, protestors, and more to arrest to the three officers responsible for killing.  The other two officers remain uncharged for the incident – meaning no one is being held directly responsible for Taylor’s death.

As protests erupt around the country in response, celebrities like Alicia Keys, John Legend, Oprah, Cardi B, George Clooney, Viola Davis, Kerry Washington, and more have taken to social media to express their outrage.

Tamar Braxton found herself at the center of many a headline earlier this month after ex-boyfriend David Adefeso filed a domestic violence restraining order against her.

In the time since, the former couple have gone back and forth by way of the media – with sources close to Braxton asserting that the Nigerian entrepreneur threatened to kill her, while Adefeso claimed the ‘Love & War’ singer punched him in the neck as he drove.

Compounding the chaos was the fact that the incident occurred just weeks after 42-year-old Braxton allegedly attempted to commit suicide. A move allegedly was spurred by a meltdown she had about the negative portrayal of her relationship with Adefeso on her new reality show; a show which, after ample off-camera drama, saw Braxton and WE tv sever ties.

Now, following a notable silence, the songbird is speaking up and out.
