Beyonce‘s much hyped HBO concert series kicked off last night.

As reported, the 10-week mini-series christened ‘Beyoncex10’ will see a performance from the diva’s ‘Mrs Carter Show World Tour’ air in the five minutes before hit show ‘True Blood’ begins.

The first up was ‘Ghost/Haunted’ – which is lifted from King B’s self-titled Double Platinum album.

Indeed, today has seen ‘Forbes’ unveil their ‘Celebrity 100‘ tally and announce that the ‘Partition’ performer stands as the most powerful influential celebrity in the world, casting a dollar sign printed shadow on the likes of Usher, Rihanna, Justin Timberlake, Nicki Minaj, Eminem and Jay Z.

In life, Whitney Houston was renown for not holding back her thoughts on any and everything. And it appears it’s a trait that has passed on to daughter Bobbi Kristina.

The 21-year-old has lashed out at acclaimed actress Angela Bassett – following comments the latter made about not casting Bobbi in the upcoming Lifetime biopic on Whitney that she’s directing.

While fans of ‘Fancy’ rapper Iggy Azalea had expected her to pick up the award yesterday evening, last night saw rival Nicki Minaj dash her dreams of being named the ‘BET Awards’ ‘Best Female Hip Hop Artist’ when she nabbed the gong for the fifth consecutive year.

What happened next? The delivery of an acceptance speech that served to shock the show’s audience which saw Minaj claim she feared would she die last week and take “subtle” aim at female rappers who employ ghost writers to pen their jams.

Yesterday evening, the ‘iHeartRadio Ultimate Pool Party’ was graced by none other than Jennifer Lopez, the stage blazing hit-maker whose performance made for an epic watch hours ago.

Introduced by Mariah Carey‘s husband Nick Cannon, Lopez fans in attendance were treated to an energetic showing with a set list which included ‘Same Girl’, ‘Get Right’ and ‘I’m Real.’

Oh…and a live vocal.

Yes, while never straying too far from her trusty pre-recorded vocals, Lopez did in fact pepper her performance with her actual voice, with said “pre-records” serving as a crutch for her live delivery.
