Despite the Platinum flavoured success of ‘The 20/20 Experience (2 of 2)’, one glaring fact remains – the LP has failed to yield hit singles in the way its processor has.

Indeed, while the first instalment of the album series generated smashes such as ‘Suit & Tie’ and ‘Mirrors’, the second has struggled to replicate the model – with singles ‘Take Back The Night’ and ‘TKO’ faring poorly in most territories. A fact some argue is due to the cooling of JT’s initial comeback buzz, while others point to ‘2 of 2’s point-black inferiority.

Whatever the case, it appears the 32-year-old is listening to the feedback. For, it has been revealed that the singer is currently toying with idea of re-visiting ‘1 of 1’ for future singles.

Undoubtedly at the forefront of R&B’s slow but steady reintroduction to Pop culture, Miguel continues to soar above many of his contemporaries by way of his ‘Adorn’ driven ‘Kaleidoscope Dream.’

So, it’s no surprise that he’s earned fresh praise from the Grammy committee this year, nominated for two awards one month before he attends the show’s 56th annual serving.

After a decade of marriage, actor Taye Diggs and Tony-award winning actress Idina Menzel confirm they are indeed headed for splitsville.  A spokesperson for the ‘Best Man Holiday’ star gave the following report:

“Idina Menzel and Taye Diggs have jointly decided to separate at this time,” reps for the couple tell PEOPLE. “Their primary focus and concern is for their son. We ask that you respect their privacy during this time.” 

Both 42, the two met as costars in the original production of the Broadway musical Rent in the mid-1990s. They married in 2003 and had a son, Walker, in 2009.

Underrated.

While the last few years have seen him do little to rectify this, we’d say that ‘Entourage’ craftsman Omarion is yet to receive the praise he deserves for pushing R&B to the forefront of Pop culture well over a decade ago.

Can’t say we didn’t see this coming.

Hit rapper Kanye West adds yet another rant to his list of quote-worthy tirades, this time slamming the Recording Academy for only gifting his latest album ‘Yeezus’ with two nominations.

Finding listing only in the Best Rap Song and Best Rap Album’s categories, West, fans, and critics alike all called ‘foul’ on the decision to omit the rap work from the Big 4 – a feat some thought was remedied when Entertainment Weekly, Rolling Stone, and Time Magazine all listed ‘Yeezus’ as the year’s top release.
