Jennifer Lopez‘s shock departure from American Idol has seen many a name touted as a potential replacement. One of the most speculated is the 42 year old’s age-mate and rival Mariah Carey.

And while the diva (of all divas) remains “mumm” on the topic, her trusty husband Nick Cannon couldn’t resist voicing his opinion (a filtered version of hers, perhaps) into the mix.

Get into the promo snap for ‘Fame‘, the first fragrance by Lady GaGa.

Shot by ‘Alejandro‘ creative Steven Klein, the provocative snap leads the product’s launch- set to enjoy an international release in the latter part of August.

GaGa will release ‘Fame’ via Haus Laboratories and Coty, who have reportedly designed the fragrance to become invisible once it hits oxygen- and according to GaGa evokes the sense of ‘blood’ and fluid some readers may deem unmentionable.

Now, in what marks yet another commercial feat scored by the star, his latest tour has pulled in impressive numbers on Pollstar‘s Mid-Year Top 100 Worldwide Tours tally.

Pink gets fans excited for her new LP ‘The Truth About Love’ today, with the release of its popping front cover.

Released by RCA records September 18th, the project is preceded by its lead single ‘Blow Me ( One Last Kiss)’, which has thus far peaked at #58 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Earlier this year, ‘A Star Is Born’ actress Beyonce embraced the power of social media by releasing an open letter penned to Michelle Obama, online.

Praising the First Lady for her dedication to the US and its people, the letter marked yet another friendly exchange between the two, after Mrs. Obama named the singer as the one person she would be if given the option.

Yesterday evening, Rap Royal Lil Kim found herself at the receiving end of harsh criticism from her fan base, Team Kim.

Criticism, which saw her stans brand her ‘selfish’ for placing men before her career in music yet again, when she and members of her team refused to answer questions regarding the release of new music they had been promised since last year.

This, after they threatened to shut down her official fan site when she put the release of a 2011 Holiday EP on hold to support Floyd Mayweather Jnr, who faced a prison sentence for allegedly assaulting the mother of his children- in front of their very eyes.

Now, after being cited as Kim’s latest distraction, her boyfriend ‘Mr Papers‘ has spoken out against the criticism.

It seems Lady GaGa has developed of picking up new friends recently.

Following a fun filled slumber party with Lindsay Lohan and Lana Del Rey in Hollywood last week, the ‘Disco Heaven’ belter was snapped in the company of Dr. Dre protegee Kendrick Lamar.

Likely to have been connected by mutual acquaintance Jimmy Iovine, GaGa took to Twitter to dish on the meeting- which took place at last weekend’s Pitchfork Festival.
