Renewed for the tube, the once-annual ‘Divas’ extravaganza roared back into view tonight on its highly anticipated return to VHl.  The themed showing, ‘Divas Celebrate Soul’, enlisted some of music’s best soulful divas including Mary J. Blige, Chaka Khan, Jennifer Hudson, Jill Scott, and more to rock the reboot.

While some of the special’s later presentations billed less-than-worthy starlets with the honor, this year’s diva lineup is sure to be a knockout with fans!  See the ladies in motion after the jump:

2012 looks to see ‘Beautiful’ hitmaker Christina Aguilera pushing her comeback efforts to the max…literally.  As more lids are being lifted on the singer’s forthcoming LP, news has now surfaced that the Grammy-winning starlet has enlisted hit pop producer Max Martin for her widely speculated lead single due in January.  Martin, who is the craftsman behind some of once-rivaled sensation Britney Spears’ biggest hits, has joined the bevy of big named producers taking the wheel behind train Xtina.  And, with critics already hailing the song ‘a surefire hit’, ‘upbeat’, and ‘radio-friendly’, the news (if proven correct) will only boost the already swiftly mounting buzz for Aguilera’s next offering.

Said to be due shortly before the premiere of ‘Voice’ season 2, diehard fans and we at TGJ alike are eagerly awaiting the finished product.  Here’s hoping ‘The Voice’ judge finds her voice once again blaring from radios and stages alike to break us from the monotony of today’s voiceless pop starlets (who shan’t be mentioned).

And with Christmas around the corner, what better way to usher in the day the world awaits than with her own take on ‘TheChristmas Song’. ‘King of Hearts’ Lloyd may be presently enjoying a reign over U.K. charts with this hit ‘Dedication To My Ex’, but now it seems the young crooner is dedicated to conquering chart territory stateside.  Though the album was met with favorable reviews at the time of its summer-2011 release, such enthusiasm was apparently limited to critics as record buyers vastly ignored the project.  In a bid to turn the tide on the sinking album, the ‘Get It Shawty’ crooner has gotten a helping hand from fellow crooner Trey Songz and hip hop heavyweight Young Jeezy for his latest offering ‘Be The One’.

While we’ve already shown you behind the scenes footage (months ago) of the pairing, see how the trio finally fare in the Parris-directed clip after the jump:

There isn’t long  to go till Madonna‘s ‘Gimme All Your Luvin’ video featuring Nicki Minaj and MIA makes it television debut.

So, in a bid to whet the appetites of their respective fan bases, today saw the surfacing of a snap taken from the video’s shoot which gives some indication of what the world can expect from the hotly anticipated clip.

Paying respect to the icon’s ever changing look, the pair can be seen rocking two distinctive looks from the performer’s career, with Nicki donning a blonde Madonna styled wig and MIA in a look similar to the one sported by Ciccone in her ‘Like A Virgin’ set, now almost thirty years back.

The trio are set to perform the track live at the Superbowl in little over a month. We want to know, though…

Hip Hop & Soul veteran Mary J. Blige surprised fans moments ago with the surfacing of her latest video, ‘Mr.Wrong‘, in aid of her latest album ‘My Life II: The Journey Continues‘.

Released to Urban radio on November 8th of this year with contributions from Young Money’s Drake, the single’s supporting clip  surprisingly does not feature the ‘Take Care’ Rapper at all.
