If you’ve heard Eve‘s latest studio album ‘Lip Lock‘, you’ll know it marks one of her strongest studio efforts to date.

Sure, while it’s easy to romanticise commercially impotent albums by billing them winners on a critical tip, the project’s cohesiveness and effortless blend of Rap and Pop see her extend her lead as one of Hip Hop’s more versatile acts- unafraid to cross genre lines and sounding good while doing it.

Now, after watching its first week sales amount to 8,600 units in the US, the Rapper has taken to Kanya King‘s MOBO to share her thoughts on the release and its panned sales.

With social tensions sky-high in light of a certain verdict, the spotlight is shining especially bright on new movie ‘Fruitvale Station’.

The emotional narrative relays the true-life story of Oscar Grant, a young Black man who was killed by BART police officer in Oakland, California.

Upon premiering at the Sundance Film Festival, the feature-length film has been showered with praise for its potent storytelling, incredible cast, and their career-best performances.

That Grape Juice’s Patrick sat down with Octavia Spencer (who plays Grant’s mother Wanda) and Michael B. Jordan (Grant) to discuss the story and why it’s so important that it’s told.

As far as vocalists go, very few own a range as vast as Jessie J‘s – soaring to the top of the charts with 3 octaves and jams cut and crafted for the Pop heavens.

Last night, those jams were played to a crowd of 6,5000 at the Eden Project, rocked out by the Brit Pop firework before the release of her long awaited sophomore album.

The last night of Yahoo’s ‘Wireless Festival’ welcomed Rihanna to its shores hours ago, when she sailed in for a surprise performance with headlining act Jay Z.

Captured by fans at the star studded gig, their performance saw them serve a live helping of the Ernest Wilson produced ‘Run This Town‘, shortly after Jay scored his first UK #1 album with ‘Magna Carta Holy Grail’.

Half an hour after George Zimmerman was found ‘Not Guilty’ for the second degree murder or manslaughter of Florida teen Trayvon Martin, ‘Story of Beauty’ vocalist Beyonce took to Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena to perform her ‘Mrs.Carter Show’ for fans.

While there, she took the time to respond to the verdict-not with words- but by song, tributing the well loved teenager with a rendition of the Whitney Houston/Dolly Parton classic ‘I Will Always Love You‘.
