Seems Rihanna won’t be the only diva headed from the charts to the courts.  Reports have surfaced ‘Judas’ singer Lady Gaga was hit with a plagiarism suit alleging infringement of the hit song.  Plagiarism accusations, brought on by singer Rebecca Francescatti over her 1999 song ‘Juda’, add to the already lengthy list of controversies brought on by the second single from Gaga’s multiplatinum ‘Born This Way’ (see: price, religious leaders, etc).

According to AceShowBiz:

Through a lawyer, she said, “Though the songs are different styles, the composition is the same and the chorus is the same melody.”

Fans of Katy Perry‘s ‘Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)’ will soon be treated to an official remix featuring none other than femcee Missy Elliott.  According to Billboard, the Missy-assisted version of the track will hit radio and digital outlets on Monday, August 8th.

As the song has been resting in the Hot 100’s #2 spot for quite sometime now, the remix could generate the airplay and sales Perry needs to push it to #1; thusly, tying Michael Jackson‘s record for most #1 songs from one album.  Her previous singles ‘Teenage Dream’, ‘Firework’, ‘California Girls’, and ‘E.T.’ have all held the top spot.

In Missy Elliott news, the ‘Work It’ rapper is said to be working on her own forthcoming project entitled ‘Block Party’.

“Rolling In the Deep” singer Adele revealed earlier this summer that her next album will boast a more ‘acoustic feel’.  Now, reports have surfaced the songstress may be adding a twang to that acoustic sound.

Speaking with Billboard.biz, the singer referred to hearing American country music for the first time “like a four-year-old in a candy shop who’s discovering sweets again.”   She elaborated by stating:

Via Billboard.biz:

“I was exposed to a lot of country, rockabilly and bluegrass. The melodies and to-the-point lyrics I have found in a lot of American styles of music is definitely something I’m going to be pursuing heavily from now on. I want to spend some time in Austin in Texas and Nashville, Tennessee, and learn about it.”

Reports have surfaced today that Queen of Pop Madonna has enlisted super-producer William Orbit for her forthcoming 12th studio LP.  Fans of the ‘Music’ singer know that Orbit was the craftsman behind her most critically acclaimed (and one of her best selling) album to date – ‘Ray of Light’.  If the reports are indeed true, it would mark the first time the duo have worked together in nearly a decade.

Fans may remember Orbit most recently made headlines for his Twitter rant responding to his exclusion from Britney Spears‘ latest album ‘Femme Fatale’.

Maybe growing competition from identity thieves chart rivals Spears, Lady Gaga, Rihanna, and others is forcing Madge to pull out the big guns.  Either way, it will be interesting to hear what the two come up with and see how that product fares on charts.

As reported here, dynamic pop duo Chris Brown and Justin Bieber have been hitting the studio to crank out a follow-up to their moderate pop hit ‘Next 2 You’.  Lifted from Brown’s latest offering ‘Boy In Detention’, the track boasts a b-boy Bieberproviding his most hip-hop delivery to date.

The David Banner produced cut, which samples Brown’s own ‘Look At Me Now’, is rumored to be receiving video treatment due to its overwhelming fan response.  Time will tell.

How do the two fare on their second go round?  Find out after the jump:
