Maybach Music Group signee, singer/songwriter Teedra Moses just released her Independence Day compilation  ‘Luxurious Undergrind’.

After the critical praise she received for her 2004 debut, ‘Complex Simplicity’, the ‘Be Your Girl’ singer’s record label folded before the release of it’s much anticipated follow up, ‘The Lioness’. Since then, she’s kept busy writing for Mary J. Blige, Christina Milian (‘Dip It Low’) and Raphael Saadiq; releasing a couple of a well received mixtapes along the way. Earlier this year, Moses was recruited by rapper, and admitted fan, Rick Ross for his Maybach Music Group imprint. Ross has referred to the R&B chanteuse as his personal Anita Baker. Teedra Moses will finally release the long awaited ‘Lioness’ next year. In the mean time check out the free mixtape below.

As reported here Beyonce will be headlining the 2011 Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular. The Nick Lachey hosted showing will see Knowles perform “Best Thing I Never Had”. The ‘Single Ladies’ singer leads an all star line-up of performers and attendees – including hubby Jay Z in the audience.

R&B crooner Miguel recently traveled to New Orleans, Louisiana to perform at Day 1 of the 2011 Essence Music Festival. At a ceremony held a few weeks ago, the ‘Sure Thing’ singer won an ASCAP Award for his writing credits on Jaheim’s 2010 single ‘Finding My Way Back’. Miguel also recently shot a video for next single ‘Quickie’, which has peaked at #31 on Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop song charts, thus far.

Rolling Stone’s newly crowned Queen of Pop, Lady GaGa put on a free mini-concert yesterday in Taiwan. Performing nine songs, including standouts from her platinum selling Born This Way LP, GaGa entertained 6,000 fans inside the Taichung Arena, while 40,000 more enjoyed the show from outside via a big screen.

Moments ago, a remix to Britney Spears ‘Till The World Ends’ surfaced online featuring R&B veteran R.Kelly.

The remix sees Mr. Kelly lend his often celebrated vocals to the upbeat dance track and comes just months after the song’s official reworking which features Nicki Minaj and Ke$ha.

Beyonce, once again, showed that her talent knows few bounds today, when her second Good Morning America showing aired on ABC. Shot last week, following her live stint on the show, today’s performance saw the 29 year old rock New York’s Central Park with ‘End of Time’ – a favourite from her chart-topping ‘4’ LP.

Cher Lloyd shows that Rihanna isn’t the only one getting Loud on the cover for her debut single ‘Swagger Jagger’.

The love it or loathe it track saw its video premiere last week and, true to Lloyd form, sparked much controversy. Can’t say it’s moving our spirit, however who’s to say it won’t after the inevitable rinsing radio and TV will no doubt do with it.

R&B continues to makes a comeback, this time it’s in the form of Lonny Bereal and Kelly Rowland‘s video for ‘Favor’. The sensual cut, which is generating quite the buzz on Urban radio, is given the visual treatment courtesy of director Juwan Lee.

Behold the album cover for Jay Z‘s and Kanye West‘s collaborative album ‘Watch The Throne’.

Though no confirmation of a release date has been announced by either artist or Island Def Jam, the LP’s release has generated excitement after the report that the first single would feature Bruno Mars and Pop’s Queen Supreme, Beyonce.
