According to breaking reports, rapper T.I. and wife Tiny were arrested in the early hours of this morning. The newly wed couple, real names Clifford Harris and Tameka Cottle, were detained for “possession of a control substance”.

UK chart  sensation Tinie Tempah is set to release his eagerly awaited debut ‘Disc-Overy’ on October 4th. The Londoner, who has enjoyed phenomenal chart success with singles ‘Pass Out’ and ‘Frisky’, has teamed up with Pop star Kelly Rowland on the project; with the Destiny’s Child singer featuring on the track ‘Invincible’.

Rihanna was spotted on the set of her new movie, ‘Battleship’, yesterday. The model who normally drop bombs with her voice abandoned her red hair while on the set of the blockbuster battle movie.

Fantasia has decided not to choose ‘Man of The House’ as the 2nd official single from her ‘Back To Me’ album. Instead, the R&B singer has opted to go with ‘I’m Doin’ Me’ which was produced by Chuck Harmony. ‘Back To Me’ debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200 with sales surpassing 117k units. {Source}

Despite a number of false-starts, Ciara‘s ‘Basic Instinct’ project appears to be back on track. As previously reported, the 24 year old is set to follow-up the Urban smash that was ‘Ride’ with dual-singles ‘Gimme Dat’ and ‘Speechless’.

With both performing well on US radio (particularly ‘Speechless’, which is exploding prior to its official add date), the 24 year is reportedly set to shoot the video for each within the next two weeks.

Regardless of the delays, if there’s one arena you can’t fault Ms. Harris on, it’s her videos. No doubt she’ll ‘bring it’ and then some.

Katy Perry has captured to top spot on the US album charts, forcing Fantasia to settle for the #2 position. Perry’s ‘Teenage Dream’ managed to sell over 194k units while her R&B counterpart’s new album, ‘Back To Me’, opened with just 122k copies sold. This marks the 1st time that 1 of Perry’s albums has debuted at #1 in the US.

Another notable entry on this week’s tally was Usher’s ‘Versus’ EP which opened in the #4 position with 48k units sold. Eminem’s ‘Recovery’ album remains in the top 3 selling another 98.7k units. {Source}
