All aboard the sooooouulll traaain!

Las Vegas was the place to be last night as the 2016 Soul Train Awards rolled all up and through! Hosted by the Grammy-winning Queen of Neo-Soul Erykah Badu, the show sought to tribute the best and brightest of Hip-Hop and R&B with blazing performances from Lady Of Soul recipient Brandy, who rocked out with a multi-song medley.Teddy Riley, Dru Hill, Bobby Brown, and many others also took to the stage.

BET & Centric are set to air the ceremony on Sunday, November 27th at 8P/7C! But, before watching all that went down, peep pics from the show.

It goes without saying that Drake and Beyonce served as the reigning King and Queen of the charts this year

Hence, it’s fitting that the ‘Mine’ collaborators lead the pack of talent in the nominations for the 2016 Soul Train Awards.

Drizzy, much like his AMA placings, stands tallest with 11 honors, while Bey blazes the scene with 8.

Both have achieved gargantuan success with their ‘Views’ and ‘Lemonade’ projects respectively.

The awards are set to be handed out on November 6th at Las Vegas’ Orleans Arena, with the ceremony itself airing on BET on November 27th.

Beyonce marked her birthday in fun-filled fashion. Literally.

Music’s reigning queen Bey celebrated her 35th year with a Soul Train themed Birthday Bash, which was attended by her nearest and dearest.

The likes of Jay Z, Usher, Kelly Rowland, Michelle Williams, Solange, Alicia Keys, and Diddy all dressed to the nines as they hopped aboard the soul train.

Prior to the party, Mrs Carter hit Instagram to express gratitude, saying…

Fantasia is still the name on everybody’s lips after her soul-stirring Soul Train Awards tribute to Kenneth ‘Babyface’ Edmonds aired on BET and Centric last night.

Lending fiery renditions of the Edmonds-penned numbers ‘Exhale (Shoop Shoop)’ (originally performed by Whitney Houston) and ‘Superwoman,’ the performance won rave reviews from critics and viewers alike – a hot topic well over into the next day.  But, while many are praising the ‘Idol’ winner’s stunning showing as the highlight of the night, there’s one who doesn’t exactly share the sentiment – ‘Superwoman’s original singer Karyn White.

White, who took the song to the top of charts in 1989, took to Facebook moments ago to lend her thoughts on the performance and sound off on BET for not inviting her to take part in the tribute.
