Little Mix, in many ways, have remixed the “girl band” narrative.

Having won The X Factor in 2011, the Pop quad have amassed eight-years of non-stop success – seemingly growing more potent by the project.

Their trajectory deviates from the tried and true story of such collectives, which – by now – would have seen the ladies dabble in solo careers, reality shows, and indefinite hiatuses. None of which has been the case.

With 2019 underway and latest album ‘LM5’ still in promo cycle, the Little Mix have their eyes on cementing themselves Stateside.

The latter, which reached its Hot 100 peak this week (24 years after its release), has become a staple during the yuletide season – a bittersweet fact for Afanasieff as he and the diva have not spoken for over 20 years and she (according to him) continues to take sole credit for its creation.
