While fans may be used to Usher burning up with charts, the R&B veteran is the latest hitmaker feeling the heat – heading from the charts to the court over a plagiarism claim.  Joining Rihanna, Lady Gaga, and Leona Lewis, the ‘My Way’ maestro will soon be making his way to defend his case after songwriter Ernest Lee Straughter convinced a judge that Mr. Raymond’s 2004 Jermaine Dupri-produced ‘Burn’ plagiarized a work of his.

Billboard reports:

Last month, a California federal judge found there to be sufficient possibility that Usher and co-defendants who produced the song had access to Slaughter’s work, “Reasons,” created in 1998. The judge accepted a musicologist’s report that noted substantial similarity between the songs and denied a motion to dismiss the case on summary judgment.

Jessie J isn’t just building her fan base, she’s building her brand. A fact driven home when the ‘Price Tag’ singer was this week unveiled as the new ambassador for Glacéau vitaminwater.

The 23 year old’s first course of action will see her encourage the public to create their own flavour of the popular drink, which will serve as the ‘official flavour’ for next year’s Olympic Games in London.

Since its conception now two years ago, the Haus Of GaGa ( headed by Pop entity Lady GaGa) has produced a number of short films that have become well loved by GaGa’s ever loyal Monsters.

Responsible for ‘The Fame Part 1‘ and some of her most unique fashions, the performer’s in house team most recently dedicated their efforts to creating a number of alternative visuals for the single ‘You & I‘.
