While Bow Wow‘s music career may be on life-support, the 23 year old’s acting ambitions are proving more fruitful. Indeed following on from his recent role in ‘Lottery Ticket’, the rapper, real name Shad Moss, has announced that he is to star in the latest instalment of Tyler Perry’s ‘Madea’ movies.

R&B crooner Usher and his New Look Foundation hosted the 2010 World Leadership Awards at Atlanta’s Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre last night (August 6th).

Special guests Ciara and Justin Bieber were invited to perform alongside the ‘OMG’ singer; with Usher and Ciara performing a unique rendition of John Lennon’s ‘Imagine’, and Bieber (who was awarded the Global Youth Leadership Award) delivering a rousing solo set.

Former US president Bill Clinton was honoured with the Service Legacy Award.

Emeteria is this week’s Cover Star. The young singer was brave enough to tackle Mariah Carey’s ‘H.A.T.E.U’ – a fan favourite from her ‘Memoirs of An Imperfect Angel’ LP. How did Emeteria handle such a difficult song? Check it out below:

Normally when singers try to cover a Carey composition it turns out to be a complete train wreck. However, Emeteria did a great job on the verses, particularly because of the minor similarities between the texture of her voice and Carey’s. While she admittedly struggled a bit with the whistles, she still did an incredible job.

Peep the official cover for the the latest single to be lifted from Fantasia‘s ‘Back to Me’ LP, ‘Man of the House’.

While the MS-Paint inspired cover pretty much tells the story of this ‘Back to Me’ era so far (cheap and badly handled), ‘Man of the House’ goes hard. What’s more, along with ‘Move On Me, this appears to be one of album’s best chances at spawning a chartable hit.

R&B singer Teairra Mari released her ‘Point Of No Return’ mixtape today.

Featuring a selection of original tracks, as well as unique spins on cuts by the likes of Drake and Jay-Z, the DJ Drama hosted mixtape – according to Mari –  was released to tide fans over until her second studio album hits stores (release date TBA).

That Grape Juice can EXCLUSIVELY unveil the official cover for Alexandra Burke‘s sizzling new single ‘Start Without You’. The song, the first to be lifted from the re-issue of Burke’s ‘Overcome’ LP, is set for release on September 5th. Meanwhile, it’s accompanying video is expected within the next two weeks.

Kanye West shared some interesting news with his legions of fans via Ustream this evening. The rising icon revealed that his highly anticipated new album, which was initially scheduled for a September 14th release, will now hit stores “sometime in November”.

However, West gave his viewers something to enjoy in the meantime: a preview of the LP’s possible 2nd single. He highlighted that 2nd track to be lifted off the album – which will be released in roughly 20 days – will be either ‘Lost in The World’ or ‘All of The Lights’ and gave his fans a preview of the latter.
