Rihanna revealed her ‘Loud’ cover today. The record hits stores on November 16th and is preceded by its 1st single, ‘Only Girl (In The World)’, which has already climbed to #3 on the Billboard Hot 100.

I take it that the album’s title refers to either Rihanna’s shocking hair colour or that noise she makes when she tries to sing. She does look beautiful though. Now if only her voice could match her face…

Many of your will remember Fallon & Felisha from now-defunct R&B quartet Cherish. Then again, perhaps you don’t. For the group’s primary problem was their inability to distinguish themselves from one another – effectively rendering themselves four similar looking faces and voices.

Now a duo, Fallon & Felisha will no doubt be looking to rectify that as they strike out on their own. While little is known about their current label predicament, the sisters’ debut single ‘Lights Out’ premièred today.

Peep this performance of former Pussycat Doll Melody Thornton taking on Christina Aguilera’s chilling ballad ‘Hurt’. With talent like that, no wonder Ms. Thornton couldn’t but vent at the fact she was consistently over-shadowed.

Melody may need to exercise more vocal control, but it’s hard to deny she was the superior vocalist in the group. I can never understand why labels believe that the Diana Ross-Supremes model (one singer, the rest back-up’s) is still ‘in’. Surely giving everyone some form of individual shine (even if not the same amount) helps broaden the group’s appeal, hence increasing their fan-base, and ultimately increasing what is the exec’s primary concern – money! Same goes for the handling of Destiny’s Child, but that is a different story altogether…
