RedOne, the hitmaker behind many of Lady GaGa‘s smashes, is currently working on Nicole Scherzinger‘s sophomore (yet first commercially released) LP.

While recently recounting his earlier work on the Pussycat Doll singer’s ill-fated ‘Her Name Is Nicole’ album, the producer uses an interesting analogy when describing the material on the record overall.

Several weeks ago we reported that Taio Cruz had recorded a remix to hit smash hit single ‘Dynamite’ with new label-mate Jennifer Lopez. However, many were left scratching their heads when Lopez was a no show in Cruz’s video for the song, which turned out to be for the original.

During an interview with Ryan Seacrest this morning Lady GaGa revealed some surprising news. The chart monster let it slip that despite previously stating that she had completed her new album she has in fact returned to the studio and is considering releasing 2 records in 2011.

Jennifer Lopez had been lined up to fill one of the empty seats on  the ‘American Idol’ judging panel but those plans have been scrapped. It is being reported that former force on the music charts had too many “out of hand” demands and the Fox network simply “had enough”. This news comes on the heels of rumours that a diva with actual vocal talent, Mariah Carey, has her eye on one of the judging spots.

Clearly Lopez didn’t get the memo that her career is only two drips away from being flushed down the toilet. With her music failing to make a dent on the charts and a movie career that has become more stagnant than ever, Lopez needs capitalise on every available avenue if she wishes to remain relevant. In other words, stop acting like a diva and just be happy that you’re even invited to watch the show.

Peep pint-sized star Lil’ Kim striking a pose in this new promotional shot for Three Olive’s ‘Purple’ Vodka.

The Hip-Hop vixen was snapped up by the alcohol company to serve as the spokes-model of their ‘What’s Your O-Face?’ campaign, which is being rolled out nationally in the US (both print and in-stores).

Three Olive’s explained their alliance with the rapper, saying the grape-flavoured drink is “fun, sassy, and sexy as the Queen Bee herself” with Kim adding:

“Since I’m Queen Bee and purple is the color of royalty,” says Lil’ Kim, “I’m thrilled Three Olives has asked me to bring my flavor to the sexy ‘O-Face’ campaign for their new Purple vodka!”

Say what we will about Kim, it’s important to give credit where it’s due. She’s been in the industry for over 15 years and is still racking up endorsement deals. More power to her.
