The video for jail-bound rapper Lil’ Wayne‘s latest single ‘Drop The World’ premièred today. Check out the clip for the Eminem-assisted cut above…

Despite the song being pretty rubbish (Eminem’s bars aside), it’s hard to deny this is a good video! Upon hearing Wayne had filmed upwards of 10 videos prior to his ever-delayed prison-stint, I envisioned rushed, mediocre quality, clips; yet I’m positively surprised by this one. Good stuff.

To celebrate the birthday of daughter Bobbi-Kristina, Whitney Houston brought the teen on stage to sing her favourite song – in front of thousands of concert-goers in Adelaide, Australia.

Houston, 46, serenaded Bobbi, who turned 17, with the song ‘Who Would Imagine A King’ from the ‘Preachers Wife’, which is apparently one of the youngster’s favourites. Check out the touching performance, as well as Whitney’s powerful rendition of ‘I Look To You’ after the jump…

Peep Nicole Scherzinger‘s new promotional shot for ‘Dancing In The Stars’. The last remaining original Pussycat Doll member has been paired with show favourite Derek Hough – who some of you may remember was Lil’ Kim’s partner on an earlier season. This season’s première will take place on March 22nd.

In other Nicole news, she is apparently ‘excited’ about working with a ‘new cast’ of Pussycat Dolls, an album for whom is due ‘before the end of the year. Whether the LP will ever see the light of day is anyone’s guess.

Pop sensations JLS and Jason Derulo posed for the cameras backstage at London’s Hammersmith Apollo recently. Derulo, 20, took a break from his busy promotional schedule to attend the BRIT winners’ show, chatting it up with the guys backstage after it had ended.

With the group now set to debut in the US, after singing with label Jive Records (Britney, Ciara, Chris Brown), they are said to want Derulo on-board to pen songs for their Stateside LP. For those somewhat puzzled by the link, American producer JR Rotem, who is Derulo’s mentor, produced JLS’ ‘Everybody In Love’ single – which is set to serve as their first in the US.

Whether JLS, or Derulo for that matter, manage to make a dent on the US industry will be interesting to see…

Rihanna wasn’t the only US celebrity at the ECHO Awards last evening. Ke$ha also took the stage on the German  show to perform her smash hit ‘Tik Tok’. The song hit #1 on the official German singles chart. Typical Ke$ha.

Jay-Z and wife Beyonce were invited to The White House during their recent stay in Washington, D.C (for the rapper’s Blueprint 3 tour). The couple also brought along Beyonce’s mother Tina Knowles, as well as Jay’s tour support Trey Songz, who attended with his manager Kevin Liles. Though President Obama was not photographed, the group did indeed meet the inspirational leader.

‘Over’, the hotly anticipated new single from Young Money rapper Drake surfaced a few moments ago. Take a listen below and let us know what you think…

Hit or Miss?

Rihanna took to the stage at the Echo Awards in Berlin, Germany tonight to perform new single ‘Rude Boy’. Check out how your favourite vocalist and mine fared above…

I actually rather enjoyed Ms. Fenty’s performance. Yes, her vocals (as always) were compromised so as for her to actually move around on stage. Yet it’s hard to deny that her swagger was in full-effect (however unjustified it is) and the stage set-up (cheeky robots inclusive) was a nice touch too. Not bad…

What do you think of the performance?

Further fuelling the anticipation for her ‘Telephone’ video, the incomparable Lady GaGa posted the above picture from the vid on her Twitter page a few moments ago.

The shot was accompanied by the words: “RING RING its coming little monsters”, seemingly referring to the March 8th premiere of the Beyonce-assisted clip.

Undeniably very GaGa…roll on Monday!
