Indeed, doing so as she readies the release of a brand new studio album, the love song’s continued success comes as its supporting album ‘Ciara’ eyes global sales of 500,000 units, but as radio support of her latest single ‘Overdose’ softens in the USA.

Billboard’s end of the year reports are usually based on data comprised of radio airplay, physical and digital sales, and, most recently, Internet streams.  As such, it was a no-brainer for acts like Justin Timberlake, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Robin Thicke, and Bruno Mars to top the outlet’s ‘year-in-review’ charts given the spectacular commercial performances 2013 afforded each of them and more.

But, since sales don’t always equal quality, the good folks over at Billboard have now lent their weigh in on the year’s best song from a critical standpoint.  Its results, listed in full below, sees a surprisingly Urban-dominated list with the likes of Ciara, Kanye West, and Drake all ranking amongst honorees.

First Rihanna & Shakira, now this?

The night was set alight with word that Grammy winning pop superstar Lady Gaga was on board to duet with ‘Womanizer’ wailer Britney Spears – a concept first brought forth by Spears in a recent chat interview with her devoted fans.

With Spears already listing Madonna, Christina Aguilera, P!nk, Beyonce, Miley Cyrus, and Rihanna to her lengthy list of female collaborators, the self-proclaimed Femme Fatale’s inclusion of Gaga would certainly seem fitting.

Elsewhere in the blog-o-sphere, news surfaced that ‘Body Party’ beauty Ciara has been eyeing a collabo with long-time idol Janet Jackson.  As both singers have albums reportedly due in the next year, this is certainly a combo we could see happening.  But, can you?

As the critics continue to shower praise on her R&B #1 ‘Body Party‘, R&B Queen Ciara has announced that she hopes to collaborate with ‘Twisted Elegance’ entertainer Janet Jackson, doing so in a conversation with the ‘Peoples Choice Awards.’

A life long ambition of the ‘Overdose‘ darling, her desire to hit the stage with Janet comes as the icon reportedly continues work on long awaited comeback effort and as the aforementioned ‘Party’ prepares to be praised once Billboard’s ‘Year End Charts’ for 2013 are published.

With fans sounding off on the 2014 Grammy nominations’ snubs and surprises, the artists themselves have taken to social media all weekend long to lend their sought opinions on the tally.

Much to the dismay of fans, acts like Mariah Carey, Brandy, Ariana Grande, Ciara and Lady Gaga all saw their names omitted from the prospect of hearing the applause, applause, applause of Grammy audience members for their work(s) of the past year.  As of time reporting, some have kept mum on the topics while – as previously reported – Ciara and K. As one of R&B’s hardest working women, ‘Don’t Talk About Me’ vocalist Ciara continues to fly the flag for her genre nine years after her ‘Goodies‘ generated debut.

Perhaps, with this in mind, a number of her fans have taken to social media to weigh in on the handling of her latest project ‘Ciara‘, penning an open letter demanding an update on the critically acclaimed project and- rather unfortunately- accusing her of abandoning them in favour of her fiancee, Future.

Cop a gander of Ciara!

The dynamo diva looks all sorts of lush on the latest cover of luxury fashion mag Genlux.

It’s been somewhat a musically mute few months for the singer, who released self-titled album back in July. However, as per this feature, as well high-profile appearances at the American Music Awards and international touring, the newly-engaged singer has certainly not been idle.

That said, an update on her next musical move would not go amiss. ‘Overdose’?
