With adulation received from the likes of Whitney Houston, Beyonce, The Clark Sisters, Kirk Franklin, and some of the biggest names in music over the years, Kim Burrell was easily one of Gospel music’s most revered voices.

That was, until a sermon she preached in late 2016 went viral for featuring language many deemed homophobic.

Leading to an unceremonious fallout (see: dropped from radio and TV shows, slammed by celebrities, uninvited from award shows, etc.), the damage done to the legendary diva’s career has seemed irreparable – a status she waxed honest about on the ‘Tamron Hall Show’ Thursday (September 29).

While dishing with the daytime hostess, Kim not only discussed the backlash from that incident (including behind the scenes drama with her former longtime friend Yolanda Adams) but also defended herself against more recent drama from yet another controversial sermon.

Tory Lanez may have seen the last two years of his career dominate headlines more for personal and legal drama than his professional endeavors, but that hasn’t stopped the Canadian rapper from trying to get the ears of the masses on his music.

Hot on the promo trail in support of the September 30 release of his new album, ‘Sorry 4 What,’ Lanez drove over to ‘The Breakfast Club’ Thursday morning (September 29) to dish with the radio show’s resident hosts about the project and other recent happenings.

But when the conversation tipped over to more controversial topics, Lanez steered it back to his music – ultimately refusing to talk about his headline-grabbing (alleged) altercation with singer August Alsina that left the “entangled” star bruised and bloody.

Similarly, when quizzed about his ongoing legal spat with Megan Thee Stallion over reports he shot her in the foot, Tory pressed back to redirect the focus of the discussion on his forthcoming LP.

An awkward watch for sure, look inside to see highlights from the nearly hourlong chat.

From child star to mega Pop diva, Christina Aguilera – now 41-years-old – has spent the majority of her life in the spotlight.

But behind the curtain of the glitz and glamour is a woman who says she is still dealing with and reeling from the trauma of childhood abuse inflicted by her members of her family – namely her father.

“It’s just disgusting and it happens far too much to people…and it is very dear to my heart, because I did grow up in [violence] and am a survivor of it… and I’m affected by it,” Aguilera once said.

And though painful, reflecting on the experience has been a source of therapy for the GRAMMY-winning singer, who recently offered a “peek” into her childhood via the music video for her latest single, ‘No Es Que Te Extrañe,’ which she says is her most ‘personal yet.’

Serving as the latest single from her forthcoming all-Spanish language EP, ‘La Luz,’ watch the emotional, self-directed visual inside.

Since officially bursting onto the scene with his 2019 debut studio album, ‘Baby on Baby,’ rapper DaBaby has scored four Billboard 200 top 10 placements (including two chart-toppers).

Seemingly poised at one time to be one of the decade’s best-selling emcee, the embattled emcee’s career trajectory took a downturn after he topped headlines for making what many deemed to be deratogory comments about the LGBTQ+ community and people living with HIV/AIDS.

The backlash not only impacted his brand endorsements and ticket sales, but – if the response to his fourth studio album ‘Baby on Baby 2’ is any indication – it has crept its way into the commercial activity of his musical work as well.
