With his latest movie ‘Good Deeds’ due in US theaters tomorrow, Tyler Perry stopped Late Night With Jimmy Fallon yesterday to plug the flick – which also stars Gabrielle Union.

During the hilarious segment, the entertainment mogul also revealed plans for another Madona play, christened ‘Madea Gets A Job’. Love him or loathe him, Mr Perry’s hustle stays unmatched.

Awkward.

That’s how many deemed Lana Del Rey‘s televised debut last month when she took to the Saturday Night Live stage.

And yet the hype surrounding the 25 year old has only intensified, propelling the her first major label effort ‘Born To Die’ to the top of the charts globally.

Continuing the promotional push for the critically acclaimed set, Del Rey took centre-stage on Jimmy Kimmel Live last night to perform standout cut ‘Video Games’.

The Queen of Pop Janet Jackson has spent the last month plugging NutriSystems healthy eating regime. And by the looks of the star last night, it’s working a sweet treat for her physique.

Rocking a noticeably slimmer frame, the diva was snapped leaving Los Angeles at the city’s L.A.X airport.

As history has taught any true music follower, a slimmed-down Janet usually spells a new project. A pattern we hope is re-affirmed here. For, as her ‘Number Ones’ tour showcased, there’s plenty more fuel in the tank.

Making somewhat of a detour…

Call it selfish, but yours truly is not here for the “she’s done did it all” excuse churned out far too often by easily appeased Janet fans. Madonna, love or loathe her, has rightly embraced today’s reality that even older artists can’t rest on the laurels of their heyday.

After all, in today’s “blink and you miss em” industry, many an act are only as hot as their last hit. And, as misguided as her recent shade towards Janet was, Ms. Jackson could indeed learn something from the Material Girl’s approach. For, the 00’s have seen her add many a new “moment” and “classic” to a career which was already legendary by the end of the 90’s. A position she shared with Janet.

I can only hope the necessary calls (preferably to Jimmy Jam, Terry Lewis, and Darkchild) have been made to ensure the newer generation are reminded of why she is who she is.

Anyway, enough of my rambling…

Since B2K disbanded in 2004, the Urban teen group arena has been noticeably empty.

That is until Mindless Behavior exploded onto the scene last year.

Hits such as ‘My Girl’ and ‘Mrs Right’ have seen the quad amass millions of fans. A tally they’ll no doubt hope increases following their performance of current single ‘Girls Talkin’ Bout’ on the Jimmy Kimmel Live show last night.

Check out guys (aged 14-15) whip up a frenzy below. Peep the track’s official video too.

Upon the release of Lady GaGa‘s  upbeat anthem ‘Born This Way’, the songbird found herself coming under heavy fire  from many critics who suggested that the number was a direct ‘rip off’ of Madonna‘s iconic jam, ‘Express Yourself‘.

Now, almost a year after ‘Born‘s release, the Pop icon has shared her opinion on the track, an opinion which may just make life very awkward for mutual Interscope boss, Jimmy Iovine and any associated with both ladies.

As has plagued most of ‘Baby Boy’ singer Beyonce‘s pregnancy, rumors have swirled around the birth of  her newborn daughter Blue Ivy.  And while attempts to mitigate such by the well wishes of hospital staff members and fellow celebrities have come multi-fold, some fans are still not as easily convinced and have bombarded social media outlets with theories and even ridicule.  But, despite remaining mum throughout most of the ordeal, Beyonce’s sister, ‘I Decided’ singer Solange Knowles, decided to break her silence (much like family friend Michelle Williams) today.

Taking to the very same front that has seen its last days filled with naysayers, Solange unleashed her thoughts via Twitter saying…

As one of the world’s most celebrated groups to date, there really is no denying the impact Boyz II Men has made on Pop culture since the early 90s.

Five years ago, 50 Cent had the world – quite literally – at his feet. Fast forward to today and the climate is altogether different for the former chart-topper.

Renown for his verbal spars, the rapper’s latest “beef” is with his record label, who appear unwilling to release his new material – after a string of commercial disappointments.

Not content with taking the label to task on Twitter recently, the G-Unit general once again took to the public platform to vent over the issue. Yet this time, his usual banter was accompanied by chilling remarks.

After wrapping the US leg of her ‘Number Ones Tour’, Pop queen Janet Jackson is set to guest on The Insider this Thursday.

While it’s not known what her Janetsty will divulge, I can only hope it’ll shed some light on her next steps musically. Call us selfish, but her recent successes have – whether she likes it or not – afforded her another lifeline after a string of commercial under-performers; as such, we want her to use it. She needs to hop in the studio with Jimmy Jam, Terry Lewis, and Darkchild, and brew up that album we so know she has left in her.

Whatever the case, bring on Thursday.

It’s that time of year again!

The 2012 Grammy Awards nominations were announced just moments ago.
