Demi Lovato may have a wall full of Gold and Platinum plaques for a brigade of Pop-leaning hits, but now the GRAMMY nominee says its time to reverse their sound back to its ‘roots.’
In a recent interview with ‘Rolling Stone’ the 29-year-old reiterated the intent to drive their next album in the direction of Emo-Rock.
“…there’s a bit of… and when I say heaviness, I don’t mean lyrically, but heaviness as in some of the sound that I haven’t done before, which is exciting. It’s a new era reminiscent of my first era,” Lovato revealed.
The chat with RS came just moments after the acoustic version of ‘FIIMY’ – Demi’s duet with Winnetka Bowling League – made its premiere on YouTube.

50 Cent may have shocked Super Bowl LVI viewers with his surprise performance of the 2003 hit ‘In Da Club’ during the star-studded Halftime show (which also featured Mary J. Blige, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, and Kendrick Lamar), but many were equally stunned by the 46-year-old’s noticeable weight gain.
The 2000’s rapper-turned-media mogul, who was at one time lauded for his chiseled physique, was the source of ridicules and memes after the historic, Hip Hop-heavy showing.
But, instead of taking offense to the ongoing barrage of insults, 50 (born Curtis Jackson) let it be known he’s taking the criticism in stride.

It’s a good week to be Mary J. Blige.
As if being part of a historic, Hip Hop collective at this week’s Super Bowl Halftime Show wasn’t enough (February 13), her new album, ‘Good Morning Gorgeous,‘ is set to rise to the top of R&B charts next week – a feat outshined only by the critical acclaim it’s being given.
But, just as the diva reiterated her request for no more drama during her stunning Super Bowl set, drama is exactly what ensued after the showing as some viewers complained the content was too provocative.
Taking to ‘Ebro in the Morning’ Wednesday (February 16), the Queen of Hip Hop Soul weighed in on the hoopla. Look inside to see what she said:
Wendy Williams has been noticeably absent from season 14 of her hit daytime talk show, amidst a series of health issues.

However, in a new video filmed by her son, Kevin Jr, the TV host appears alert, sharp, and witty.
Perhaps most notable, the star – who has been spending time with family in Miami – mentions getting back to New York to resume her show.
